It seems that West Hollywood is being terrorized by gay taggers! Personally, I think it's kinda cool to see. There's another one down the road on Santa Monica Blvd. on a piece of art.

I find tagging stupid and senseless. I caught a kid writing on a bathroom wall and yanked the marker out of his hand and threatended to shove it down his throat.

The reason I find it interesting to see is twofold. It suggests that gay culture has become "mainstream" enough for the "cool (gay) kids" to bring about their own brand of urban decay. It also suggests that the "cool (gay) kids" are "mad as hell and aren't gonna take it anymore", building on the momentum caused by Prop 8, et al.

Obviously, I am more interested in the social commentary of the act that the "art" itself. I'm still trying to figure out if the statement is meant as an admonishment or command. :D

It is kinda strange. I once was at this wall (it wasn't some big fancy place, just a small wall behind some houses) and they gave these kids some cans and told them to paint and some of the stuff they did was brilliant. If they had come alone they would have done something crap like in the OP.

(I was there because I was visiting a friend who lived close by and she took me down to the place and we talked to some of the people there)

i kinda like it. i might do my den over based on this design.

I like well done graffiti...
There used to be a really good one near me on a brick wall, it was a dog that looked incredibly real and I used to see it a lot but the council had it removed.
Killjoys.

LMAOOOO

thats one of the funniest graffiti I saw... it looks so dumb

I was at a kegger once and this kid passed out that was notorious for tagging everything. I took his marker out of his pocket and wrote all over his face

i think graffiti, when it's done right can add a lot of culture to a place, cause lets face it, Puerto ricans love their spray cans..

Are you a dad? You SO sound like a dad. :-)

I like it too Groover. Of course, I've never been a fancy girl, so my tastes aren't as refined as some other folks. I like the message. Thanks for sharing!

No, any swear words on a public place is not cool.

In your own home is a OK.

Wow, I didn't even see the "F___ straight people" thing at first... I thought it was the well placed rainbow colored dogs.
