If that is the case, then I can say that about 50% of the priests and clergy I met while studying for ordination are of Satan. And if you look at Rome and the Cardinals, then maybe it isn't the church of Jesus Christ but something entirely different.

I would have to say I agree with Pope Francis on this one -- who am I (or they) to judge?

I've seen a preacher try to pray the "demon of homosexuality" out of someone. Of course I don't agree with the US Catholic Church Advisor, who does not have a monopoly on God nor does he speak for him.

Just so you guys are aware, the guy behind the accusation that gays are created by the devil apologized for it.

Here's the thing. The catholic church is doing what conservatives have been doing for years. Tell a bold lie, then apologize. But the lie is out there and it is bound to stick with some. The tactic is so old there's even a Latin phrase for it. Audacter calumniare, semper aliquid haeret translates to slander boldly, something always sticks.

Only nutbags would hang out at religious forums. Most Catholics are fairly moderate and take a smorgasbord approach to church rules.

Guys like him are just scrabbling to defend their prejudices following the current pope pulling the rug on their power base around sex and sexuality.

That Catholic Church Advisor is probably closer to being the devil than any one of us could hope to be if we spent every day trying.
