GCB!!! (Good Christian Belles) on ABC

Bois,

It's here (!)

Tonight's the series premiere!! :)

"We never took our children to church. We wanted them to find their own spiritual paths." -- "Cut the commie crap. My grandchildren are going to church so they can go to heaven, amen, end of story."

Didn't you guys like the scene where Ripp Cockburn (David James Elliott) and Carlene (Kristin Chenoweth) are making out on top of his office desk?

You can see the outline of his buttocks, and his legs and feet are up in the air....

Ugbh.

Pile of shit. It was like being stuck in a elevator with women on too much Redbull wearing too much hairspray.

I guess it'll play to the people who wouldn't stop sending you those fucking "bring back Sordid Lives" petitions on Facebook.

I can't imagine anyone actually liking this dreck.

And it's not "Good Christian Belles," the book was called "Good Christian Bitches."

I think what baffles me the most is what audience they're going for. It depicts the people of Texas as obnoxious, vindictive and stupid. Juvenile and hypocritical and back stabbing.

And although that makes a great SNL skit and an average movie based on an SNL character.... and MAYBE the post-sluttly MILF character in 'Mean Girls,' it won't be funny for longer than a couple episodes.

The "southern California person who is forced to move to middle America" is never that funny.

Watch your language, please.

There are sophisticated, refined gay bois here, and we are not amused by such vulgar speech.

Thank you.

Sorry, but nobody who uses the term "bois" is sophisticated.

I did watch the show again today on my iPad while I was working and I think I do kinda get the point of it.

While I think Texans will like it as much as Italians like "The Jersey Shore," I do get why a show that has the smart, pretty, cool mom from Malibu making the lives of the skanks who didn't age or end up well from high school look bad... well that might be fun.

I still don't think it can last long. You can only see someone do housework in Stiletto Heels so many times before it gets a bit tired.

I read somewhere that GCB actually stands for Good Christian Bitches. Thats why the initials only.

Do you guys think that Cricket knows that her husband Blake is really gay?

I think she knows!

In the episode, Cricket is at her Western clothing design office, she asks for design advice from her husband Blake. Blake suggests corduroy ("Corduroy never goes out of style," he says), and then he says that a blue cowgirl hat matches her outfit better (gaydar alert?)

But then she invites him to a romantic evening together, the both of them.

Blake declines, saying that he has a meeting with his ranch assistant, Booth......

Cricket sighs, then says, all in a huff, "Fine! Book me an appointment with Jorge!" (the personal trainer)

I think she knows her husband is gay.

What I'm curious to know, is why she still stays married to him.......

You know this isn't a documentary, right?

This isn't "phony housewives of Dallas," it's a TV show... that's not... real?

That it's a story?

Oh dear sweet Jeebus. I haven't watched this show, and I'm hating it already.

80% of my family was born and raised in Texas, so it pisses me off to see Texans portrayed as stupid rich white Christian Republicans. Not everybody in Texas is a member of the Bush family, for fuck's sake.

Secondly, I don't get the lust for the male leads. I see Boring Generic White Guy #1, 2 and 3. Once again, people forget that a majority of Texans are of Mexican decent.

BTW- the word "bois" is almost as stupid as "man-pussy". Stop it.
