I saw a good interview with this fast-talking female Italian/American sexologist whose name I've forgotten (Pat Califia?) on Youtube.

She says the 1950s people who wanted to be 'hip and edgey' became beatniks.
The ones in the 1960s became hippies.

And the 'hip and edgey' ones now go trans.

On the contrary, deliberate ignorance is willful ignorance and willful ignorance loves wandering around in circles, pissing on any information sharing with gleeful abandon. This topic has been done to death before, same characters making the same 'offhand' comments; the only difference is the trans people aren't playing and you're whining about it.
