Well, I would tend to describe them as follows....

Gender is a purely biological and technical description of what you are at birth, or what your X/Y chromosome is - so it's a medical term of use.

Sex is used primarily on forms and passports and documents and is the same as gender unless the adult transgender person applies and requests to have it changed - so it's a bereaucratic term of use.

Orientation and Sexuality are both descriptions of who a person is attracted to emotionally and/or sexually and whether that means opposite-sex or same-sex or both.

It can get confusing when someone wishes to change sex but is at the same time attracted to the sex they want to change to, and so could be described as e.g. a 'lesbian trapped in a man's body'

Gender: biological body formation. Male if you have a cock. Female if you have a vagina regardless if you have boobs or not.

Sex: hot and sweaty naked bodies slamming and grinding one another.

Orientation: vertical or horizontal. Vertical is sex while standing up (portrait mode). Horizontal is sex while lying down (landscape mode).

Sexuality: degree of horniness

No one giving take?

Okay..for me (without looking at dictionary)

gender is a role, an innate role which differentiate distinction between men and women since the dawn of human civilization

Sex is male and female= your biology sex traits, your genitalssss.

Orientation and sexuality is the same, it's your sexual preference and that including homosexual, heterosexual, pansexual, asexual, bisexual.

Why paraphilia can't included in sexual orientation?

The most notorious challenge for our LGBTFGM movement is the same civil-human rights account proposed by those pedophiles and zoophilic bastards.
What differentiate us from them is our sexuality (in those choosen category) are mutual and not hurting or compensate our carnal needs grafitication only just like what happen with pedo and zooey. They can have sex with the victim but the victims never can return the favor in healthy relationship.

My professor suggest that sexuality is different than orientation because sexuality could determine whether you're a top/bottom

I disagree and I think he's an idiot to say that.

A gay idiot

This was the understanding that I had of the four terms. Many people use gender when they mean to use sex.

Sex is the biological construction of a person. It is whether the person is a male, female, or intersex.

Gender is the psychological disposition of a person based on how he or she aligns himself according to social constructs such as masculine or feminine.

Orientation is the sex or gender to which one can potentially become attracted on an emotional and/or sexual level.

Sexuality can include orientation, but it's not limited to orientation. It can include sexual fetishes, traits, behaviors, etc.

Gender is the cultural narrative or abstraction of one's sex, as proscribed by society or one's tribal ideology of choice or constructed, accrued etc etc. It is the templates of perception and behaviour culturally or ideologically attached to one's sex.

Sex is the meat and bone; the physical biology that determines one's definition (or lack thereof).

Orientation is simply one's sexual and/or romantic proclivity and/or inclination; what sex does it for you? One or both? Neither?

gender is who you identify yourself as such as male and female. sex is what you were born in your genes as in you were born with a dick or a pussy or both. you can change your gender but you can't change your sex.

orientation is what you are innate attracted to. sexuality is how you define yourself sexually. like what you're into such as fetishes and etc. angel from above pretty much said everything.

Gender: to be freely determined by the individual and never, never, never,....... to be determined by some medic at birth. At birth the individual cann't speak. So, it is totally impossible to know his gender. Only when the individual is fully aware, he will be able to tell his gender. If cock and balls hang on, it only is a beginning of some skimpy indication. The individual can choose for "no gender" of course.

Sex: all ways to reach erectile pleasures through free experimentation of the individual. Sex is more the material side of sexuality.

Orientation: individual orients his sexuality on whatever person, object, fantasy, dream, robot, living or not living being................... suits him.

Sexuality: all ways to reach orgasmic state, though no orgasm as such is systematically required. Sexuality is more the spiritual side of sex.

I've always understood the defferences between orientation and sexuality as thus:

Your orientation is where you fall on the Kinsey scale; whether you're homosexual heterosexual or bisexual (and degrees thereof), regardless of your biological sex (as opposed to your gender, which I understand as a social concept/construct)

Whereas your sexuality is your sexual identity: not merely based on physical attraction but emotional desire and potential to want to be with either a man or woman.

That's how I've always understood it...I know it's a bit more complex for transgendered, but like others have said, in the end it's all labels... I guess.
