So I was at a nude beach yesterday and this cute guy approached me and played with my cock and balls a bit, then he said "I'd love to blow you but you've got a genital wart".

AWKWARD!

I know what he's talking about though and I'm actually really self concious about the little bump on the rim of my circumsised forskin. The bump only came up after my circumcision which I had done when I was a teenager, at that stage I had had no sexual contact whatsoever. I'm not a virgin no more though :)

I remember being worried about it and went to a couple of family doctors as well as sexual health nurse and they all said it wasn't STI.

Have a look at the picture folks, it's on the left edge of my foreskin. I actually poked it open with a sanitized needle myself once and it was just like a popped pimple (white stuff came out, sorry it's gross) and for a while after that it pretty much remained invisible. But now it's (very) slowly coming back again.

Seeing it scares my potential sex partners away and really impacts on my self confidence, how do I get rid of this thing safely and once and for all please?

Thank you for your help.

At the worse a simple surgical procedure, carried out under a local anasthesia
would get rid of it once and for all.

IT is defo not a Genital Wart, good luck . ..|

As far as I can tell - no wart. Most likely an enlarged sebaceous gland

It's a sebaceous cyst. It's particularly noticeable because you have brown pigment in your skin and the fluid in the cyst tends to be a white, waxy color- kind of like lanolin.

The skin on the shaft of the penis has several different types of glands in the skin that keep the skin moist. The sebaceous glands produce a thicker oil. Sometimes the opening around the gland (the pore) gets blocked or the gland goes a little haywire and produces more oil than the pore can release, so it backs up and forms a little round bead under the skin.

Sometimes you can remove the bead and it doesn't come back. Most of the time, you drain it and it fills back up again over time.

Considering where it is and that you've already tried draining it once, you should see a dermatologist. They may try to drain it and then inject it with a little medication that sometimes stops the gland from producing oil Other times, it requires a small surgery to remove it.

It also looks like you've got a varicose vein on the shaft but it's hard to tell on that.

I went to a Urologist several years ago with something that look very similar. It was sore and rolled around under the skin like a small pea. He advised me that it was an occluded lymph gland. The Rx was to take aspirin for inflammation and sit in hot water for 20 minutes 2x a day. It worked.

I was asked if I used any restrictive band on my penis during sex or used a pump of any type. I did not, but if you do those questions may be a clue.

Good luck!

Thanks mate, I forgot to add that this thing has been there for years and it never caused any discomfort or other sensations whatsoever, even when it's rolled around under the skin went my penis goes soft.

Thank you mate for the detailed reply. Think I'll go and see a dermatologist for it.

Re your last comment I vaguely remember the surgeon who performed my circumcision at the time saying to his assistant something about varicose vein. Do I need to worry about it if it's not causing any discomfort? My family doctor has seen my penis and didn't comment on it so I thought it's no big deal (I've also seen guys with thick veins in their dick in porns). Can I just leave it or could it cause troubles?

Thank you.

It's not uncommon- lots of guys have a varicosity, particular on the vein that runs down the midline on top of the penis.

A varicose vein is just a vein where the valves that keep the blood flowing in one direction have a malfunction. They can get inflamed when you get older and cause some soreness and other complications. But if it's not causing you any discomfort at the moment, there's nothing that needs to be done. Just keep it in mind if continues to get enlarge or you start having soreness or redness around the area, you should ask your doctor to take a look at it.

Doesn't really look like a wart, but it's hard to tell without going to a dermatologist. Maybe just inflammation?
