Article: There will be a battle over George Michael $200 Million Dollar Fortune
I just read an article on Yahoo News but I think they got it wrong. No way was George Michael fortune worth $200 million I think he was worth MORE THAN THAT. George Michael people seem to forget is not just a singer but also an incredible songwriter. Because George wrote his own songs he made millions in royalties off those songs. And George estate will continue to make royalties. I feel sad for gay celebrities like George Michael he had no heir, so no kids to leave his millions to. George Michael has some vengeful sister who will no doubt try to get her hands on his millions. He had a boyfriend a hair dresser for four years but I do not know if he can get any of the money. George Michael never married so his former long term lover I do not know if can make a case. Sadly, the biological family of George Michael will probably get his fortune. Gay celebrities really need to make wills and make sure their gay partners and loved ones are taken care of when they pass. In that pic he looks swollen ----I read that he smoked weed and crack and was self-destructive---didn't know. Thought he had fought off his demons.

Gee, a hint of a blame game. He was hospitalized for pneumonia recently. Whether that points to drug abuse, HIV, or other, he's dead. The person who steps in front of a bus is just as dead, just as culpable of causing his own death.

Pure speculation. If there's a Will, the assets will pass in accordance with that. If there isn't, then in accordance with the rules of intestacy. It's hard to imagine that someone in George Michael's position did not make a Will.

Owen Jones obituary on George Michael was political BUT I think he also praised George too. Too often gay male celebrities have to be desexualized in order to garner mainstream media attention and support. For instance, many gay men HATE the gays on Modern family they are effeminate and not very sexual. Rupaul might be popular with some gays but he is also a caricature of a gay black man over the top and flamboyant. George Michael was different he was a MASCULINE GAY MAN and he was a SEXUAL GAY MAN. George despite being a huge rich celebrity cruised for sex in public parks. It is interesting though, this guy could have any male prostitute or any gay stud he wanted. I am sure gay men threw themselves at George across England. Yet he loved the thrill of anonymous gay sex. And I COMMEND George for that he was different than other gay male stars. He was unapologetic about being a gay man who loved GAY SEX. That is the difference between say Boy George and George Michael. Sure Boy George is gay too but he is a stereotypical gay, a gossip queen, someone who also has a rather nasty bitchy effeminate personality. George was different he was a gay man who loved being a real man. And I commend George for never hiding the fact he loved anonymous gay sex. It seems these days so many gay men in the public eye want straight respectability. And Owen Jones obituary about George Michael was in fact commending the man for living his life on his terms. And not allowing those straight homophobes to tarnish his legacy.

The hairstylist boyfriend needs to get himself a lawyer. I do hope George Michael has a will BUT I see a huge battle with the biological family over his huge fortune. If only the hairstylist and George were married since gay marriage is legal in most of the UK. If they got married the boyfriend would of had a huge amount of rights on his side.his boyfriend

Even the rich, and famous cannot defeat the inevitability of a premature death when cocaine, heroin et al are a daily addiction.

...or years of smoking cigarettes...which was the culprit for me...my heart attack was a direct result of the choices I made....
...and sometimes it is genetic.....
In the end...everyone dies...and when and how you die will most likely have been impacted by the choices you make....

It's always weird when a guy who seems to have it all doesn't have a lust for life---and is so self destructive---and no one that cares about him steps in to help.
I mean I have always found him very unattractive ---probably in the minority on that---but he had talent, money and fans that loved him ---who he helped with money----who needed him. But still he felt no sense of responsibility to them. Some addicts can't control any of their addictions---not talking just about drugs---but eating, smoking, sex etc.
