I vaguely remember reading in the 80's that George grew up "the fat kid", and that's how his self image always was, even after losing weight and gaining fame.

It is odd what was George Michael so sad or upset about? Why did he turn to drugs? I read online that he smoked weed but so what? We all tried weed at one point. But George seemed sad about something. The British tabloids claim he was on heroin before he died. He also looked rather bloated and fat in one of his last photos you do not even recognize him at all.

He was upset because he was bloated and getting into his 50s.

He was no longer the bouncing, sexy kid who wore a shirt saying "Choose Life".

He may have been very VAIN. He once refused to be interviewed on TV facing the camera because he had a herpes sore on his face.

All the second guessing and passive/aggressive criticism and pearl clutching.

Is it simply not possible for some to accept the fact that a great musical performer has died at early middle age and be thankful for the musical gifts he shared without prodding at his corpse or pissing on him post mortem?

The late singer sang of Jesus giving to a child. And yesterday Dame Esther Rantzen, revealed that the late singer gave £2million received from that song was given to her charity counselling service for children and teenagers.

I respect George Michael a lot he was NOT an effeminate gay man and he never apologized for his sex life. It is so interesting this guy was an international superstar he could had ANY MAN he wanted. Yet George chose to cruise in parks for anonymous sex. I think that is what makes him kind of interesting. Despite being so wealthy, rich and of course famous. He just was a gay man like any of us he had his insecurities as well. I applaud George for a comment he made in an interview where he spoke out about the homophobia of the mainstream media after he got arrested for a lewd sex act in a toilet.
 
George Michael dated men his own age

One of things I love about George Michael he defied the stereotype of the gay male celebrity. George preferred men his own age he did not chase the twink of the week. If you check this website there is an obsession with youth. Yes some young guys are hot but it was nice to see a gay man date guys who were close to or around his own age. George never got much respect from the gay community until he died which is sad. Yet gays applaud someone like Boy George who was such a jealous cow and cruel to George when he was alive. This guy just had a lot class George Michael.
 
George Michael died from natural causes, coroner says

Singer George Michael died of natural causes, it was announced Monday.

A coroner said the star, found dead at his home in Oxfordshire on Christmas Day, had a heart condition known as dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis.

The 53-year-old also suffered from a fatty liver, according to Oxfordshire's senior coroner Darren Salter.
"Inquiries into the death of George Michael have been concluded and the final post mortem report received," the coroner said, in a statement reported by Britain's Press Association.

"As there is a confirmed natural cause of death, being dilated cardiomyopathy with myocarditis and fatty liver, the investigation is being discontinued and there is no need for an inquest or any further inquiries."
