A similar thing happened in australia last year with a kitten , three teenage boys bashed the kitten kicking it around , tried to set it alight and then put it on the train tracks in the hope it would get hit , thankfully the kitten wasnt killed , and the 3 guys , preety much got off scott free , no jail time at all just community service junk , people who mutilate animals should be put away , not in cells , in cages , how cowardly is it to attack animals , exspecially those whop cannot properley defend themselves , it just further proves that there is scum on this earth.

I can't make myself read this article, this is one of the most sickening acts of violence I have ever herd of. I think each breath both of these guys takes is a waste of the eco system. I hope they have a tortious life and I wish them both the worse of luck. I just can't think of anything bad enough to do to them, other than place both is a oven and let them see what pain the inflicted on a innocent animal. Sorry, I just really HATE people like this.

I think Animal Cruelty should be prosecuted to the same level of the law as cruelty against a Human. The next step for these ass holes will be to bring dead or pain to a human, of course it will be someone unable to defend their self, they don't have the balls to hurt someone that could fight bad..

Harke, you take people like these guys and put them in prison, and they'll make the PRISON a worse place. This definitely is worse than things like selling drugs or grand theft (some of the common reasons people are sent to a prison).

On Friday, a 13-year-old girl took the witness stand and testified that she saw the two boys break into a community center and that they later told her they had cooked the puppy.

But the defense said that the child's account couldn't necessarily be trusted.

Sorry to mix topics here, but why is it that the child is always trusted when somebody is accused of underage indecency or rape?

Frankly, I hope they just get a lot of help. They are obviously disturbed and angry guys.

I know the crime sounds terrible but that's because it was a cute puppy and not a rat. If it had been a rat, would it have even made the headlines? I think that a lot of people are having an emotional reaction to this and are wanting to lock these kids up and throw away the key. All because it was a cute puppy. I hope that there is more objectivity in their court proceedings.

I agree with most of you , they should be put in an oven. Y'all are forgetting one thing though... they need to be doused in paint and bound before we put those two guys in the oven.

I found this in another forum - a petition to present to the judge for her to impose the maximum penalty when the two teens are sentenced on February 9th. Unfortunately, emails are not acceptable. They need something in hand to bring to the judge. But hopefully the form letter below will make it easier for people -- just a quick cut, paste, and print, then address and stamp the envelope and you're done.

Every single letter will make a difference, and everyone who writes is honoring the memory of this little dog. Try to imagine her happy and running free up at the rainbow bridge.

I am not here to please any one.

Not that B needs me to intervene for him in any way, but honestly he's just throwing down some of his dark humor. If you knew him you'd know that he loves animals and is one of the first to stand up for them. We tend to make judgements on others based on our first impressions and I just wanted you to know that he's a good guy.

As for the crime itself, it is distasteful and wrong on all levels. My immediate reaction was disgust and anger and then sadness for the hurt inflicted on that poor animal. I sincerely hope that those two are punished to the full extent of the law.
