Hello,
please could anyone help me to get rid of maleware that redirects google search to yahoo in firefox.
When I do google search in the firefox bar you see shortly mps.eanswers..... and then you get yahoo search results.
Preferably a portable version of free maleware cleaner.
Thank you

^Thank you, malewarebytes tial version did it. Had to install it, but it deleted the hijack.

It's not a bad utility to have installed. It comes in handy, especially since some of the more aggressive trojans and viruses can block access to anti-virus sites on the internet.

^I had the impression that browsing with the installed malewarebytes were slower, because it checks all the website you visit. I've deinstalled it now. Browsing seems to be faster now. But maybe I'm wrong.

Any product that scans and blocks web-based intruder software is going to slow down browsing. Depending on how many risky sites you visit, it might be worth trading a little slowness for safety. If you're going to non-adult commercial sites, the slowness may not be worth it for you.

Malwarebytes has become an annoyance itself, I suggest ADW Cleaner (which unfortunately has been bought by Malwarebytes).
