Getting cruised at the grocery store.

Interesting thing about cruising is that it can be so subtle that no one else around even detects it. It's that one look in the eyes that tells the whole story. You get the look and you just know. Another interesting thing is when you're being cruised by someone you have absolutely no interest in. In a fraction of a second you detect that you're being cruised and then in another split second you're trying almost too hard to pretend that you never saw the look and you try to avoid anymore eye contact with the person. On the other hand if you're receptive, that look can make you do something you wished you hadn't. It's called lust. Sometimes it's hot as hell and sometimes it's a real bitch.

or netto. funnily enougth was just shopping at asda. and i did notice a guy looking at me. only when i got outside i realised my jeans had a huge rip down the side of them and i hadnt noticed all day.....

I bet you made his day ;) ..|

I actually was very flattered by the whole thing. Anybody else get cruised in a place where you aren't actually expecting to be? How'd you react?

Never did anything with anyone from a gay bar, restaurant, event -- don't know why. But here are some places I've been cruised where it led to something pretty good. Never realized I had this history til you asked the question:

Church
Library, public and academic.
Barber's, a couple of times
Hot dog stand in Oakland.
Faculty clubs in at least 3 countries
academic conferences
Labs at universities in UK, France, India.
during military service
Public park.
Work.
cook at all night diner.
Grocery store, drugstore, clothing store.
Doctor's office.
City bus and subway, many times (Russell Square Tube Station especially memorable, St Pancras)
Disneyland
theatres, cinemas

Been cruised at gyms but never took anyone up on it, hardly any sport to it ...

I was on vacation with my dad and stepmom last month in San Francisco, and the morning of day 3 or so my dad was like, "So...feel like a piece of meat yet?" I had no clue what he was talking about, and then they just started laughing hysterically. He told me that they noticed tons of guys checking me out when we were sightseeing. I never noticed at all. Meh. I'm oblivious I guess. My ego swelled like 8 times for that week, though ;)

Do your parents know you're gay?

Oh yeah, definitely. They were teasing me...asking me why I wasn't nodding back or whatever. I'm really not that forward, and I don't pick up on the subtle gesture. After they said it was happening I started paying more attention and I noticed a few times guys looking me up and down, but that was mostly in the Castro District.

Well Castro Street would be the place!! LOL the weirdest place I was cruised was a funeral! By one of the deceased older relatives!
