Getting rid of crushes

What about looking into dating? Getting to know some gay guys, through a club or online dating.

I think you need to meet some real life guys who will take your mind off of the fantasy one. You are probably lonely.

Good Luck!

Getting rid of crushes is hard. I had a HUGE crush my senior year in high school and it affected me for a very long time, well after I graduated and never saw the guy again. Only time can really get rid of a big crush like that.

Get to know him and one of three things could happen...

01 - You will like him and he will like you and your fantasy will be fulfilled.

02 - You will like him and he won't like you which would make him an ass and trust me you don't want to get involved with an asshole.

03 - It may turn out you don't like him after all. he might have an awful personallity and you will be over him.

I had a really big crush on this guy and i just had to have him... at first. Now I can't seem to get this mooching bastard out of my life so be careful what you wish for because you just might get it.

Congratulations on feeling better and having him less in your mind. I'm really happy for you.

I disagree with Omgjosh. You're doing the right thing to let him go. You can tell you're doing what's best for you because you feel better.

Hold onto that great feeling. Good luck with school! :)

I'm glad you're feeling better. If you ever feel down, please come crying out loud to us. You can be assured of us here supporting you!

Distancing yourself from him is the best thing to do and you will soon make more sense out of this! :D

The best way to get rid of a crush is to get rejected. Being fearful of being told "not interested" can actually be quite liberating. You will drive yourself crazy telling yourself over and over again, "what if?"

I'm glad you were brave enough to speak to him though because I would have never done that with my crush, so you get points for trying in my book. Good Luck and Remember NO FANTASIZING:-)
Hey, you started out asking for advice and are now giving it. How cool is that?

You're growing. :)
