That used to be the one way I was macho: I can eat food as hot as anybody.
That was before ghost peppers became common here and they started breeding new varieties like Carolina reaper.
Now I can still handle spicy foods, but I won't go hotter than habaneros/Scotch bonnets, and sometimes not even that far.
