"Getting to know you...

Strike up a conversation by asking him a lot of questions and making sure he felt I was interested in what he had to say

Come on guys, keep it going

Not a guy, but when I met my girlfriend: talk about what I knew we had in common, then moved on to other stuff and built up a friendship on the things we had in common.

How do you ask someone out?

I asked my gf to come with me to a museum for a school project, since she was an art major and thought it might interest her... then paid for her lunch since she was keeping me company.

Keep it going!

Get in the truck bitch - kidding

Ask him out for coffee

Were you ever asked out by someone you had no interest in and how did you get out of it?

if that person is nice and definitely a friend material plus i have the time to burn, i will go out with him. not with the objective of raising his hopes but to know him better and maybe we'll end up as friends.

nice q........ let it roll!

Since I'm in a LTR it never really comes up because I talk about my boyfriend all the time. If there is enough connection, I hope it turns into a friendship.

So Isaiah Washington called T. R. Knight a faggot. Supposedly everyone has made up and gone on. Could you ever forgive someone for calling you a faggot?

Absolutely. If someone called me a faggot jokingly, I would forgive him. I'm not so offended by words as I am by the sentiments behind them. Even better, if my anger over the word helped change a biggot's opinion or even simply made him question his own opinions, I would forgive him.

What is your favorite period of history?

I prefer contemporary history, from the 1960's onwards. Particularly the 60's for its politics being so intriguingly epic, the fashion and of course the music. However, I have taken a recent interest in French history around the time of Marie Antoinette and the revolution. So lavish.

same question

Good question...

I would change the course of the Titanic so that it avoided the ice-berg...

What do you think the most influential event in history was?

Boeing, I suppose. Not an issue I have a lot of feelings about.

Like to go back to the history question. Besides Lincoln, who is the most heroic figure of the Civil War?

Frederick Douglass

During the Civil War (1861-65) he became a consultant to Pres. Abraham Lincoln, advocating that former slaves be armed for the North and that the war be made a direct confrontation against slavery.

Originally named Frederick Augustus Washington Bailey, Douglass was one of the most eminent human-rights leaders of the 19th century. His oratorical and literary brilliance thrust him into the forefront of the U.S. Abolition movement, and he became the first US citizen of color to hold high rank in the U.S. government.

Do you like Kettle Corn?

It's a nice change of pace, but I think I'd pick regular salty popcorn if I could only have one for the rest of my life.

What is your favorite cheese?

it's hard to pick a singular favorite, as i am a cheese lover. i eat and use frequently for cooking provolone, chevres, neufchatel, feta, cottage, parmesan and bleu. in a recent trip to prague, i was able to enjoy a tasty native cheese called albertam.
