"Getting to know you...

I'm sure there will be slippers and cologne - and a cheque from my parents :-) . I have no idea what the other gifts might be

Do you ever peak at your gifts under the tree?

No.....and there is a big box under the tree with a very heavy gift from Carlos. I can't wait to find out

No, I never peek under the tree.

What are your plans for New Years Eve?

Dec 31 2006 will mark 10 years since The Boy and I hooked up - it's our little anniversary

So, we've booked a hotel room downtown and made dinner reservations. We will bring in the new year in the same pub we got together at ten years ago. And, I can't wait

Same question

None yet. I kept my 2006 resolution though. Maybe just be a better son, partner and co-worker. Just don't try to take the wine away from me

Same ?

It's a new start - everything is fresh and the slate is clean

Do you get caught up watching all of the "year in review" shows and articles at this time of year?

1992 - I kicked open the closet doors and never looked back

Something you did this year that you feel especially good about?

Got more comfortable about myself and made some good friends here like you and Robert. It's a good start at least!

Good question,it's late...so same question.

I took a week off work and spent it with my retired parents in Palm Springs. Not the most exciting time but we bonded and they were so glad I flew down there for a 5 day visit - so was I.

Same ?

Wildest.. Got to have been last year (bringing in 2006).
It was a mansion party (which is basically a rave in a mansion), for £5 entry.
It was awesome, as it was on someones private property so no Police were allowed to enter, and stop the night/day/night from commencing!

Upstairs was the chill-out zone (were the likes of trip-hop & ambient DJs would play), and were you could just naturally "chill". - They didnt begin until about 7/8AM on New Years Day.
Downstairs was where all the (Techno/Drum & Bass) raver action went on! (!) There were 3 different rooms (one DJ in each room playing a different style of rave music).
The night was crazy; it didn't begin til 11PM, and carried on for 2 days.
Some rooms you'd enter you'd just see people racking up lines of chang or billy.
Never have I seen so much drugs and alcohol in one household (even tho it was huge and full of about 43265346 people)!

I wont mention what myself and my friends induldged into at that party, as some of you may not approve. But I will say, it was one of the BEST times I have ever had with all my friends. It will be an unforgettable memory for everyone!!

..same question agian?

[Sorry for my long & boring answer] !oops!

I used to go to them as a teen at my aunt's house. Everyone would get drunk. I hated ties so when the men arrived I cut them off if they wore any. I avoid New Year's Eve parties, it is the Amateur Drunk's night out. So nothing really wildkl to report.

Same question....

Probably the wildest was last year in Ft. Lauderdale. Went to the Colliseum and it was wall to wall men....I met someone and continued New Year's Eve well into New Year's day! I understand that the Colliseum is going to be closing....too bad because it was a great place to celebrate.....plus I had only been out less than 6 months so it was like being a kid in the candy store!

Are you making any New Year's resolutions?

Mine is always the same - lose weight. Since I don't seem to be able to do that, I just mark it down mentally, and get on with life.

What is the funniest New Year's resolution that did keep?

I would get ridiculed out of JUB if I ever answered that one.[-X

Do you get very drunk on New Year's eve?

lol.. guess. :rotflmao:

Seeing as there not much point in me answering this, I'll keep the ball rolling with the same question!!

I haven't the last few years; I did have a few last year but the three years before I would either go to bed or one year my son and I went to Times Square and stood in front of the Dick Clark theater and watched the ball drop. Since I had to utilize some "friends" to get there, I didn't think it wise to drink beforehand! We'll see this year......

You?

I have not had a drink in 25 years now, so obviously not. (Millzy I know your answer )

Do you have a special meal for New Years?

I always fix a prime rib, baked potatoes, fresh asparagus, and make homemade cinnamon rolls for dessert.....company is welcome!

You?

I am cooking a Chicken Ragout. My mom made it every year and it is great. Basically it is chicken pieces, potatoes and meatballs in a floured stew. The meatballs are seasoned with salt, pepper, cinnamon and clove. Makes the whole house smell good also.

Continue the question.....

To lose weight.
Probably the hardest and will take the longest, but it needs to be done for me to be more happy with myself!
