Yes, I think Spanish is beautiful and would be great to learn. It is harder to learn new languages the older one gets, apparently - best learnt in childhood is the ideal. I have heard tales of how some people have taught themselves other languages just by watching favorite movies with the subtitle track of the other language, so reading it on-screen, or the audio-dubbed version (with English subtitles) to hear it spoken.

Do you enjoy following space exploration news?
 
That NetFlix film about Marilyn Monroe called Blonde

It was the worst degrading film I've ever seen

^It was that bad? Not that I was desperate to see it, but I remember liking the NBC TV movie adaptation back in the day. Been meaning to read the book.

Obviously my answer is no.

What movie would you recommend over Blonde?

I buy a small stack of books about loneliness, then procrastinate reading them and decide instead to buy a stack of books about tackling procrastination, then don't get around to reading those. :p

In all seriousness, I try to find activities that are social, or just relish the quiet alone time because if you can't be with your own thoughts or enjoy liking yourself or discovering yourself, there's not much hope for doing that with other people. It's kind of a baseline to work on first. We are all works in progress.

Do you like standup comedians and standup comedy specials on TV?
 
Not as often as I used to, but I loved me some stand-up back in the day. Jamie Foxx did a hysterical set on Africa that would probably get him canceled today, but never fails to make me cry from laughter. 😁

Who is one artist or band you'd go to the ends of the earth to see in concert?
 
TLC would be a nice concert to see

Not yet, but I try not to over-decorate or be too glitzy about it. (Yes, I know I might lose my JUB membership card. :ROFLMAO: )

Can you bake/make gingerbread men, or gingerbread houses, yourself?

I'm not too keen on baking sweet stuff , I prefer cooking salty main courses

Can you make Lasagna ?
 
Yes! I have not made it for a year or two, but it's always fun with the layering, and laying down the long noodles across the distance of the pan. For something like lasagna, the preparation is part of the joy - all those components and then it all coming together, baking in the oven. Yum!

Do you own a pepper grinder for your kitchen?
 
I think a good chicken stir-fry in a wok is my go-to. Very satisfying to tweak the ingredients, seasoning or proportions each time you make it and that sizzle sound is so satisfying! You can have it alone, or served on rice or pasta - or even wrapped in a tortilla (sort of like a fajita variation). It makes a fine leftover and you can even have it cold as a protein source for breakfast (hey, if cold pizza works....).

Do you own any merch from either the "Star Wars" or "Star Trek" franchises?
