Yes. All my great grandparents on my father's side had been long dead, but all four of my great grandparents on my Mother's side were still alive when I was a child, and I got to meet three of them. I had two grandparents who lived on a small farm in rural Alabama in the 1960s, because my great grandfather was a vegetarian and organic food enthusiast who wanted to grow his own vegetables. He found a way to become a nonconformist even there.

Have you joined any genealogy website such as ancestry.com, family search, or any of the others? Have you had your DNA tested, and did you get any matches?
 
I did join a couple of those sites, but my memberships have lapsed. I've not taken a DNA test, but it's something I've had in mind

Where did your ancestors live 200 years ago?
 
200 years ago, most of my ancestors lived in the South Atlantic states, Georgia, the Carolinas, and Virginia. The last branch of my family to come here was still living in Germany. They hadn't yet made their way to where they would live in a few decades, which was North Florida and Alabama.

Did you find any notorious ancestors, such as adulterers, bigamists, criminals, etc., in your family tree?
 
I haven't found out about my ancestors , there surely must be adulterers , bigamists and so forth , but that's them ...

The last time I went to the theatre was last month. The last time I saw live music specifically was many years ago.

I don't go to any gay bar , even if I wanted to ... I can't because of my home duties

I'm a poor whistler so no.

Can you carry a tune?
 
Sometimes, it seems to depend on whether my mind wants to go there at the moment. I'm pretty good at say, estimating waiter/server tips when my mind feels relaxed and uncluttered. Other times I feel a surge of annoyance when the calculations are difficult or complicated, or my mind is otherwise occupied and lets me know it's just not going there. Then I have to use the calculator function on my cell phone.

Do you tend to remember your pre-adult days with fondness, or do you prefer to forget your life before say, age 18 or 21?
 
Yes, I have one close friend from school.
These days I'm working with a flutist I've known since our first conservatory years. It's fun sharing memories with her.

What was your first job?
 
Other than school boy part-time jobs, my first "grown up" job was as a research assistant at university.

I remember my teenage years with fondness ... I am now 37 but I'll always be 16 at heart , I actually remember a lot from both my childhood and teenage years , both the bad and good things .

Would you ever dye your hair ?
 
All the time. The sun is strong in Florida, so I wear sunglasses whenever I'm driving in daylight hours, and usually when I'm outdoors walking, riding my bike, gardening, or simply being out when the sun is shining.

Do you do your own cooking?
 
Yes, I usually do. I eat fruit in the morning, and have some kind of cereal, toast, pancake, or similar, and coffee.

What is usually your biggest meal of the day? For me it's lunch most of the time.
 
Yes, I miss going to the beach
