That's where UK and US usage differs. A public school here is private. In the US, a public school is a state school. Also we don't (or at least didn't, a lot of American nonsense seems to be catching on) graduate from school, only from University. At school, when I left at 18, there were perhaps 60 people in my year. A long time ago and I don't remember accurately. When I graduated from university, there were 20 or so in my year in my subject.

The longest I've had a car in my name was 11 years with my Ford Fairmont, but the picture isn't quite that simple. My ex bought a new car from a dealership, and I ended up getting his Hyundai Excel with him exchanging the Fairmont as a trade-in. I kept the Excel for four more years, but my ex already had it for 9 years, so that would have been 13 years total it was in the family. And then I inherited my Mother's Cadillac DeVille when she died, that car lasted 5 years (I drove it around for about a year before she passed away). But she already had it for about 20 years, so that was about 25 years in the family.
