"Getting to know you...

Necessities of work dictate Morning. By the time night gets here, I'm falling asleep at the keyboard.

Used to be able to pull all nighters - but not in a very long time.

Favourite Fruit?

Coffee - LOTS of Coffee.
But you knew that, lol.

Have you ever slept on satin sheets?
What did you think of them?

Have you ever slept on satin sheets?
What did you think of them?

I always thought that Satin sheets would be SO Luxurious and Sensual ... until I spent Beaucoup Bucks on some! #-o

Were they Luxurious? Oh, Yes! \:/

Were they Sensual? You Bet! (!)

However, they were also Slipperier than "snot on a doorknob"!

It took a LOT of effort just to keep them, and me/us, on the bed! :help: #-o

Have you ever flown in a "chopper"?

Chaz,
"Nice" to know you had the same experience we did!
The top sheet kept wanting to slide off the bottom of the bed - with the comforter, lol.

No, I haven't flown on a chopper.
Ever used a Jet Ski or similar?

I don't know if I've got a favorite expression.

My motto - To Dream the Impossible Dream - qualifies.

(And I'll give you credit for the surf board.)
What is your favourite spot on Earth?

What is your favourite spot on Earth?

So far, it's got to be Cape Cod! ..|

And, that's not only because of what all goes on in, and around, P-Town! (!) (!w!)

What are you thoughts about "Destiny"?

I firmly believe in Destiny and Fate. I believe everything in our lives, be it good or bad, happens for a reason.

Do you wear cologne?

Never. Always kept my drinking to a level that I remained in control of my senses.

How's your Driving (tickets)?

None in recent years.
I've had a few in my life.
The fates may have been trying to tell me to stop and smell the roses.

Mainly a case of everybody doing 50 on semi-rural roads that shift to 40 then 30 in town - and we don't.
Although there was one rather shady deal near Ashtabula, OH on I-90 . . .

Destiny - A pretty deep subject for such a semi-conscious mind this morning. I know a certain pony boy is smiling down on us right now, shedding a tear at having to leave us so soon, but having the time of his life unfettered by the physical ailments he accumulated in his life - earned both in service and play.

We are, as much as possible, a fragrance free house - florals set me off. I have a bottle of "vintage era" cologne on the bottom shelf of my side of the bathroom sink - actually two - English Leather, and English Leather Musk. I think I used the English Leather very sparingly for a special occasion a few years back, just for old times' sake. I was never into that pantyhosed QB's stuff, lol.

Never found myself in that situation, either, IGB. Not sure if I'd want to or not - there are catchy things out there.

What is your favourite Cabinet?
(Hint, if you're not from RI, you might not get my meaning.)

We're a bit more inclusive - Any flavor Ice Cream Milk Shake was what I was going for.
Although, Coffee IS my favorite.

As to your question:
The unmitigated gall of some people who believe they're better than you because they have more money than you.

Don't confuse CRASS with CLASS. Schmucks is still Schmucks.

Have you ever seen a living horse shoe crab?
Bonus Question: Who are horse shoe crabs most closely related to in a humanoid genome? (my answer's the only one that counts, lol)
Serious Bonus Question/fun fact: Horse Shoe Crabs are a vital part of the medical industry. Why?

ah a milkshake, why blow me down with a feather #-o
I like chocolate milkshakes.

I live in the UK, hence I'm not familiar with abbreviations like RI and American concoctions like cabinets and have to search online to find out

Nice set of questions btw.

No I've never see a live horseshoe crab.

Bonus question: I'm guessing it's closest related to Spiderman ;) (or trilobites and other fossils - surely nobody around here is that old are they? :p)

Serious bonus question: a compound made from their blood is used to make sure intravenous drugs, vaccines, and medical devices are free of bacterial contamination.

What countries have you been to?

Yes, lol. Depends on location.
I'd like to replace the carpeting in our Living Room with hard wood - easier to keep clean - especially with a Maine Coon long haired cat.

I've been to US, Canada, Spain.

And, I was being a bit tongue in cheek on the first bonus question - good guess w/ Spiderman, but no. Remember, the reason they use the Horseshoe Crab's blood is because it's COPPER based, not Iron.

Spock - our favourite Vulcan - has Copper based blood.

Have you ever had Trifle - and what is it (I know it's a sweet dessert - tell me more)

trifles are yummy! I've grown up with them so I've had loads.

Basically they're a layered dessert and quite easy to make. In Quebec they call them a bagatelle.

Dissolve jelly in hot water, pour on slices of sponge roll coated in jam. Let this set, add a layer of custard, let this set and add whipped cream sprinkled with chocolate crumbs. This is probably your most basic version.

Alternatively add fresh fruit to your jelly, a splash of booze, depending on what flavour jelly you're using, let that set and add custard, top with cream and pig out.
I've had them without the jelly but with layers of spongecake, strawberry jam, fresh strawberries and custard. Or with a biscuit base and layers of fruit, whipped cream and mascarpone cheese, topped with custard and more whipped cream, topped with almond flakes.

Who's your favourite fairytale character?

Hmmm, Does Frodo Baggins qualify as a "Fairytale" character? Probably not.
So that's a no on Harry Potter, too.

How about Little Red Riding Hood - in the appropriate telling, of course.
This Red has attitude.

What is Treacle?

Frodo and Harry Potter are perfectly fine, I call them modern fairy tales.

Treacle is like a liquid sugar with a honey sort of consistency. In the UK you can get black treacle and golden syrup, black treacle has a slightly burnt/bitter caramel taste. In the Netherlands you can get treacle made with apples or pears which is thicker.

Golden syrup is very nice on toast! Treacle tart and treacle pudding are great desserts.

Have you ever wanted to be a character in a tv series or movie? If so who/what
