Ina is interesting to watch. (Didja know she used to be a 'budget analyst'
in The White House ??) It's true ! She decided to change careers midstream and become a cookbook author, which led to her TV show.

I like her and all, it's just that she's SO mellow all the time I imagine her morphine drip is just out of the camera frame.

i agree with you too on Ina. i love her. also im getting into Nigella Lawson. but they only show her once a week on sundays in the afternoons

I'm not sure if I ever got a pretentious vibe from Giada. Maybe being classically trained as compared to Rachael makes it seem that way?

Although I enjoy watching $40DaD, mostly for it's entertainment value (watching Rachael in socially awkward situations ), I'd have to go with Giada's show. But the thing that annoys me with Giada is that she does this annoying dance whenever she takes a bite of something good.

Please, you don't need to pronounce every single ingredient in authentic Italian accents...it gets annoying. What reason is there to do it unless you're speaking in Italian?!

I personally hold no issues with Paula Dean. I lub her. She had such a hard life and it's cute to watch her.

When I first saw Giada I swear that I thought Natalie Portman was on TV cooking! I like them both. Giada's recipes are sorta easy to make with ingredients you can find locally and I like that Rachel talks constantly throughout her entire show. Although Rachel's 40$ a day are kind of repetitive meaning different city same approach to finding cheap eats they are informative.

Did you catch Giada's trip to Italy? Did you check out her MILF mom? That woman was as young as Giada! hahaha! I'm sure she was wearing couture. It was hard to imagine those two in a butcher or cheese shop since the De Laurentis' are wealthy. I'd imagine they'd have people do that sort of stuff for them.

My brother loves Rachel Ray, he calls her his next ex-wife. haha!

I decided to watch the Weekend Getaways show again. I must say I'm not impressed. I prefer Giada's cooking, but her traveling is too expensive for my taste. She's in Jackson Hole and she had a gourmet lunch, Mexican Chocolate, Italian Restaurant WTF!!! Is the middle of the West!!! I've been to Jackson Hole and its very upity, but no western anything?

I prefer Rachael's traveling because she goes to local places, family places and funky places that give you a taste of where you are. Anyone can travel on a budget and go to chain restaurant. But I love going to local family style places that reflect the culture of the city. I loved when she went to Rome, because she had dinner in the same neighborhood we had the best food in that city when we went there, far from the touristy traps!

Even though Rachael's voice is annoying, her traveling style is what I prefer!
