Giant Watersilde Jump. This Looks Scary As Hell.

Nobody has offered any real proof thats its faked. If the best someone has is something off a personal blog then I can go on mine and write its true. It seems less about the video at this point and just mud slinging. But its still fun to watch.

common physics. it's not possible. not even REMOTELY.

Yeah, I saw that a few days ago. I think it's real, and it is absolutely amazing what he did.

I wonder how he figured out how to get the pool accurately in the right place?

I'm not a mind reader and I dont know your age.

Perhaps. Still, I find it interesting that you feel so insulted that someone would refer to you as 'naïve' yet you have no compunctions whatsoever in referring to someone (and I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt that you weren't talking about me) as an 'old crank'.

ohohohoho... I luv you gaiz. (*8*)

but viral marketing is officially not cool anymore.

He says here, it was done under real conditions with real people:

Attention, viral marketing!

As you can see on the website, the whole blog is a marketing project for MS Office.

A “megawoosh” waterslide video has been making the rounds on the internet this week. While most have already come to the conclusion that it’s a hoax, its gets even more interesting when we find that Microsoft appears to be behind the video.

The website for megawoosh.com now forwards to a German page (translated) for what appears to promote the “planning” aspects of Microsoft Office Project 2007.

Regardless of what significance this really plays in Microsoft’s latest marketing tactics, it’s still a pretty entertaining video.

So how many times did he land on his head on the opposing hill, before they figured out where to set the little children's wading pool?

But what's really scary is if they had miscalculated and he hit the edge of that wooden platform instead. I guess that's what the helmet was for...

It won't protect him from broken back which could render down from the waist useless.

Pretty sure it's fake, but very clever and well done so I enjoyed it anyway. Someone had a very funny 'what if' idea and made it reality...even if it's faux reality.

I have just watched the link several times and I am ROFLMAO over the beginning, with the two guys each throwing a bucket of water on the slide before the guy pushes off...if this was real, they would've had to keep a lot of factors constant including continuous flow of water, for him to hit a target so precisely.

My first thought it that the victorious guy climbing out of the pool, was in it all along and that a dummy was thrown into the pool. But I imagine the trickery must be more involved than that.
