I love Kanye's music but I hate his attitude. He has such a victim mentality and he's arrogant. Sad.
 
If he really wants an award for his kind of "music" he'll need to get shot in the face.

Preferably killed.

Then he'll get awards for YEARS to come.

The wanker did exactly the same at last year's Euro awards. He threw a giant wobbly when 'Touch the Sky' didn't win best video, and he lost all respect from anyone in the audience. The narcisitic idiot needs to be quiet.
 
I think Kanye has been studying the Terence Trent D'Arby Book of Self-Promotion. The main rules are "no publicity is bad publicity" and "say whatever you have to get your name in the papers (or, in this day and age, on messageboards)". Here's hoping he didn't read TTD's book on "How to Kill Yourself at Radio and Other Media".

Oh, and congratulations, Mr Timberlake, for noticing that MTV doesn't play videos. Seventeen years after they stopped playing them.

Why doesn't MTV play videos?

Because the ratings tank when they do.
Because the music sector is so fragmented now that they'd have to pick a specific demographic - hip-hop? alt rock? R&B? pop? - and alienate everyone else during that period.
Because there are videos on other channels, and on YouTube, and MTV would rather show something with exclusive content to drive ratings up.
Because people watch music videos with half an eye, but pay close attention when Cribs comes on.
Because people's general response to videos is mild approval ("that new Timberlake video is pretty cool") but their response to reality shows drives them to post on messageboards ("who the hell does Fred think he is?!").

Because they're smart.

He'd just lost in 5 award categories. He'd probably not dreamt of such an epic failure, and freaked out. He probably won't apologise, but I'm guessing he regrets it by now - not because he's sorry, but because he ran his mouth off as people tend to when things go wrong, and said a load of things that he probably knows are bullshit.
 
Maybe if he's write songs that didn't all just sound like slightly more pretentious R. Kelly songs I'd think he had a point.

As it is, he's just as much of a loser a Wyclef and I'm looking forward to him having to stoop to the celebrity mole.

seriously though, Stronger losing best video to Umbrella?
Umbrella looked pretty much like every other video with a female vocalist in the past 3-4 years and Stronger was different and had Daft Punk in it.

i don't know who he lost all the other awards to... but, i'm sure he didn't deserve to lose all of them.
