I've given up on Internet Explorer. I'm on v. 9.

So many problems with pic and videos, which is mainly what I use on the Internet.

I've also had a problem with Firefox "running in the background" and have to reboot to stop it.

So, I'm using Google Chrome and I love it! It's very smooth.

Importing my bookmarks put them in alpha order (naturally) which is a pain since I had them ordered according to usage and other variables but all I need to do is move them around on the list.

Browsing for pics on my pc to upload doesn't require an act of congress anymore.

I love not having to type even part of a password into a site. That's another of the many perks I'm discovering.

Happy days.

You have a cookie problem. And it's not Sesame Street.

I had IE set to clear them upon closing the browser but I had to type the ones in I'm referring to even before that. Chrome doesn't make me. Of course, it still requires entry for bank sites, etc. but it should.

i use firefox but crome is good to ei is just pethetic and would not use it unless in dier need

Google chrome is the shit! I gave up on IE years ago.

Correction, actually that's Norton clearing the cookies not IE.
IE was set to clear browsing history.

Anyway, doesn't matter now. I'm cookin with gas, baby.

Chrome is an excellent browser, particularly if you are using Windows. It is resistant to much of the windows' redirecting malware.

It lacks the plugins available for Firefox, however.

Chrome works great on OS X too.

I like Firefox, but if I want a faster browser I use Google Chrome. I haven't even opened IE in a long time, I am surprised people think it's safe. lol

I was only forced to use IE 9 recently because I had to reinstall Win7 and needed something to download Firefox and Chrome. Before that, I hadn't touched IE since Win7 came out.

Always keep a flash drive around so when you have to reinstall you have all the setup files on your flash drive and boom reinstall without touching that disease of a browser.

So how do you transfer all your data (settings, pics, favs, docs, bookmarks, etc.) from IE to Chrome? I assume it's not an automatic procedure. I've d/l Chrome, but it seems a hell of a lot of work to manually transfer everything, but i'm satified with IE 8 anyway.

^ Click Wrench>Bookmarks>Import Bookmarks and Settings

^Wow, that was easy for a change! Thanks for that. I'll be playing on Chrome and see how I like it.

I can't access my emails in Yahoo with Chrome.

I installed a widget but it did nothing.

So I have to open Safari to access my Yahoo email.

How many freakin browsers do we need these days?

I am surprised that this is not possible. But it seems this is a problem since at least 2 years. I would guess for whatever reason yahoo doesn't care about chrome at all .. the problem cannot be that big if it runs in safari, so I'd blame yahoo in this case. However it seems that some people can use chrome with the new yahoo mail beta:

I have not heard of this problem.

I access my Yahoo emails almost every day with Chrome.

Thanks Corny. I'm using the new version of Yahoo mail but it still won't work with Chrome.

T-Rexx, it was working for me too for the first few days but now it won't.

I've done nothing new, except maybe restarted the computer recently.

I've disabled add-ons and extensions, doesn't help.

This is the prompt I get...
