Glee! [merged]

Great episode. Lots of shirtless scenes with Chord.

Does anyone know if Chord/Sam can sing? I know he sings songs like Billionaire and Lucky...but can he do big songs such as broadway or somewhere along those lines.

Can someone please tell me they don't like Rachel at all... I can't stand her character :/. I'm on episode 15 right now and so far Rachel just annoys the crap out of me. I've decided I love sue and I identify with Artie the most.

Who do you identify with the most and dislike the most?

I'm really not liking her this season, not because of her flaws but because they're presented as such flat caricature.

She also gets too much STAR time in the songs, when there are other good performers who get few.

I think Lea's character can be really annoying sometimes but for some reason, I actually enjoy it. I enjoy he quiky, annoying, sparkly sparkle-ness.

I thought this week's episode was yet again another great episode. I really like Chord and I think he was a great addition to the show. He's cute as hell, has a great voice and has good chemistry with the other cast members.

The fact is Rachel is meant to be annoying, her stereotype is the annoying girl. She has to be annoying or its out of character for her. She has to have a heart in the most random moments, and still make the situation work to her advantage. I love Rachel, her annoying behavior adds to the comedic humor of the show, and Lea delivers very well.

She's going to get the songs, because essentially Rachel is what Glee is about to the core. Sure, I would love others to get more songs and stuff because they have great voices, but Rachel wants to be a star. Singing and performing is her life, which is why she gets a center of most songs. Her one dream in life is to be a star.

I was just happy that this week I got to hear Mike sing, and see more of Chord, shirtless, in a shower, and that they had more Kurt/Burt scenes which I do enjoy.

But also that I got another Mercedes/Santana duo, I love those two together.

In the last couple of episodes there has been one or two scenes that i just did not care fore. Sure fun but i did not think that it was necessary for the flow of the episode. I mean in Britney/Brittany the whole scene in the gym when they are singing toxic i am not sure that i the way that the crowd react fit well. Does this make sense? Also in Duets the one scene that had me going was when Finn was tell Kurt not to sing with Sam and he pretty much compared Kurt to a rapist. I did not like that at all. How those of you that are going what. Finn told Kurt that he need to realize that no means no. He was referring back to when Kurt had a huge crush on him during season one, but it did not like the way that the scene was done.

hey what was that last song kurt and rachel did, it was beautiful.

Liked about last night:

Kurt getting a dose of reality about his creepy behavior towards Finn. He can't hide behind "you're a phobe" kind of attitude anymore.

Quinn and Sam chemistry. Quinn period. Love this character and this actress.

Santana and Mercedes pairing up.

Kurt and Rachel pairing up.

Once again, everything Brittany. She really got slammed tonight--has there ever been a sadder throwaway scene ever than Brittany pushing a meatball with her nose all by herself?

Sam with just about anyone. This character just slid in and fit almost immediately. Breath of fresh air, especially with his kind of dorkish humor.

Didn't like:

The continued relationship Finn and Rachel. This couple doesn't work, and it brings out the worst in both of them.

I thought Kurt's duet was lackluster and didn't fit.

The way Sam was brought in. Will just pulls him out of his pocket as the new member, when we've never seen Will even talk with him, have we? And Sam just suddenly has a change of heart?

Ridiculous explanation for Puck's disappearance.

Artie's treatment of Brittany. He gets laid, and then gets all gloomy with her, even though he knows how she is? Hell, she mentioned that he's on the football team, so it's only a matter of time anyway before she has sex with him. His reasoning for going off on her did not ring true at all because of this.

No Sue, no principal, no Emma, no "Beast."

Hated the number with Mike and Tina. It wasn't funny, and I thought there were several notes where it sounded like she couldn't really sing either. It was too rushed. And this is the first we've heard that Mike supposedly can't sing well--couldn't there have been some more development with that?

I felt like this was a fluff episode, which makes sense after such a heavy episode last week, but it wasn't satisfying fluff to me.

Just rewatched Rocky Horror Picture Show, and I forgot how crazy that movie was. Next weeks episode is gonna be awesome!

I liked the episode, but was sort of annoyed when Rachel was telling Kurt that she didn't know how to make him feel less lonely or whatever, so she wanted to sing a duet with him. I was like Hello!! Invite Kurt over for dinner with you and your DADS, maybe they would be able to shed some insight on Kurt's feelings of oppression.

hey what was that last song kurt and rachel did, it was beautiful.

It was a note for note, shot for shot, remake of a famous television moment, when Barbra Streisand (just before Funny Girl opened on Broadway) appeared on the Judy Garland Show. They sang that duet. Each song was one that each of them were famous for singing. They were even dressed similarly to Barbra and Judy.

The original Barbra/Judy TV clip is on YouTube. (Sorry I don't know how to link.)

I was mesmerized by the GLEE tribute, as I had watched the original performance by Barbra and Judy when I was a teenager. I replayed the GLEE performance about ten times.

DUETS was the best episode in a while. Still too much Rachel singing - and too much of her on songs she's not well suited to. She was brilliant in the Happy Days duet.

Brittany was heartbreaking, and so was Kurt's talk with his dad. The Kurt character is an amazingly insightful and frank depiction of some parts of being a gay teen, and GLEE plays it for both humor and pathos beautifully.

The Happy Days duet was perfect in every way - and as others pointed out, it was a spot-on perfect reenactment of the Garland & Streisand number.

i have seen a rocky in boxers on stage, and it was pretty hot.
And I have seen a Frankenfurter on stage played by a girl. Nevertheless, boxers still don't seem to fit with the Rocky character.

I believe he is from a country music family. His dad is a country music singer and songwriter and had a few hits according to wiki. I`m actually a bit worried that vocally he won`t be able to keep up with Chris if the two characters were to pair up somewhere down the line.

Why? To be honest I'm glad they went there because Kurt, indeed, was being too pushy the whole time. I mean he even hooked up their parents just so he could get closer to Finn. And the thing with Sam, if you notice, Sam was actually ok with singing with Kurt... well that was until he got slushied. ;)

I agree. I loved Rachel because as annoying as she has always been, there were at least clever moments revolving around her behavior. This season she's just annoying. lol.

Sam has been seen shirtless in 2 out of 3 episodes, and he was def. half naked more than he was clothed this last episode. And in Rocky Horror the flesh will continue.

Is he like the new glee boytoy or something :D
