Glee! [merged]

Wasn't crazy about the show last night, but it was semi-good. It just not as good as the last sectional performance show, that was an awesome episode. If you compare the two, then last night's show sucked balls.

besides that...everyone sucks...it's amazing how Ryan Murphy can create so many characters that are just the epitome of unlikeable. He did it on "Nip/Tuck" too. I really hope this show doesn't go on for much longer....I think 2 seasons is good...lol

Ryan Murphy just said in a recent interview that he plans on continuing the show by replacing the cast members. It will be sad to see characters like Rachel go, but will be happy to see some of the others go.

We're going to hate to see some of them go, but we have to admit - this is a pretty smart creative move!

Ryan Murphy, the creator of Glee, has revealed that a majority of his young cast will most likely leave the series by 2012, as their characters will be graduating from High School - and Chord Overstreet's Sam is the first of the next generation of Gleeks!

He explains:

"Every year we’re going to populate a new group. There's nothing more depressing than a high schooler with a bald spot. I think you have to be true to the fact that here is a group of people who come and go in these teachers' lives – they graduate and they're gone. When some of them finish their run at high school it will be very teary episodes. For me it will be particularly tough but a new crop (of actors) will come in. I was concerned about that (whether to have characters graduate and leave the show) because those kids caught on so quickly – but I think one of the things I'm very happy we’ve been able to do this years is we’ve brought in new characters. I think if you can keep regenerating – and I didn’t think we could – I didn’t know if people would want those characters (like Sam) but they do."

Wow! When he explains it like that, you can understand why they're doing it!

Cory Monteith and Mark Salling are already pushing their late 20s, they won't be convincing high school students for too much longer!

We suppose that we'll just have to enjoy our time with them now, and trust the producers to find equally talented newbies to succeed them!

So sad!

The past few weeks have pretty much turned me into a screaming fan, but this episode was just full of meh. The songs were not original or interesting and the storylines didn't feel logical.

For me, the best part of this episode was last week's preview, and that only because I may have a teensy crush on Blaine. !oops!

It wasn't fantastic overall, but there were a few moments.

The Brittany and Arnie exchanges were endearing, "When I'm out there dancing today, it won't be for the team, or the crowd, it will be for you."

And Puck had a few hilarious lines. I wish the show profiled him a bit more, he's one the characters who's capable of being a complete neanderthal but also have some very human moments, threatening to go "Death Star" on Karofsky.

Chord is gorgeous

was I the only one who really ejoyed Santana getting a major solo and killing Valerie. Granted she's no Amy Winehouse, but damn I loved it.

No you are not. I downloaded the album a couple weeks ago and have been loving the one song. Never heard it before now and I loved Santana doing it. Probably one of the few bright spots in a disappointing episode.

The other bright spots was when Will lost it with Rachel and Kurt realizing that he is low man on the totem pole.

Agreed. Those were the bright spots. I also like Rachel and Kurt's relatinship growing. I really enjoyed them sitting at the snack bar at Sectionals. It had a very real feeling of friendship about it. Also Artie and Brit-Brit saved the 'relationship' melodrama for me with their very cute pre preformance talk.

Um, I totally didn't realize Valerie was Amy Winehouse until after we googled the song right after the episode. I didn't know she's released anything "new" (or relatively, for that matter) since "Back to Black." I always thought she was trying to keep the needle out of her toes or her face out of the gutter as of late...

But I do enjoy the song! ..|

Yup. I loved when Artie told her that he found the comb and was about to trash and Brit replied "You let me put that in my hair" For the girl who spent the summer wandering around in the sewers it shouldn't be a problem.

That Quinn and Sam duet almost made me hurl.

OK, don't tar and feather me, but I kind of liked it... !oops!

only because I thought they had good chemistry, and (regardless of my feelings of the been there done that from the previous sectionals) I was kinda glad it wasn't Finn and Rachel featured at the beginning of the set list...

I think Quinn has a very sweet singing voice, aside from being pretty much beautiful. Sam is cute, but the first thing I said when the spotlight went to him was "Wow, his arms are long..."

^ It's most likely a preview from next week's Christmas episode ..|

I think Quinn has a very sweet singing voice,

If by "sweet" you mean "completely fucking auto-tuned" then yes. Let's be real; she can sing about as well as Taylor Swift. She has one of the weakest voices in the cast. However, I do like the actress a lot and I find myself rooting for her character (whereas Lea Michele -- the best singer -- and her character have become irrelevant and annoying).

The supporting cast has taken over this show and that's good because 1) the writing sucks anyway and 2) Finn, Rachel and Will are all DULL. I watched this show for Kurt, Puck and (of course) Sue last season, and now I've included the awesomeness of Santana, Britney, Quinn & Sam and of course Adorable Blaine.

I agree with the auto tune comment. I will also say that i like Blaine, but the guy has no rhythm and cannot dance which makes him a bit awkward. I also really did not like the song selection. I would have preferred a more recent song selection. But wouldn't it been better if the Mercedes/Tina "Dog Days Are Done" been switched with Quinn/Sam duet?

Agreed. Santana did well and I suddenly felt the need listen to a little of Amy's other stuff. AW may be a mess, but she can sing.

I thought I recalled a "live" performance of her where she sang quite decently. But I could picture her getting all Ke$ha on us...

And did you notice Blaine's face when he said "You're so gansta, I'm so thug?"

Kinda thought he looked really hot...
