Glee! [merged]

I was going to make the quote shorter.

But take a breath, sweets ;)

Ya never know - it's only 5 episodes into the season - a season that just got renewed for 22 total episodes.

I've thought a lot about some things you've mentioned, but the show is just so fucking fun and a blast to watch, that I don't think I care about the minor flubs/details where they should've been like "Um, duh. This doesn't make sense. Nor does this."

I'm more entertained by the fact that I've downloaded 2 songs from Glee on iTunes

(*8*)

And yeah, I was watching the last episode again tonight. Chenoweth did a FANTASTIC job on this show. I really do hope she comes back! :)

Sometimes, its just good to watch the show and don't question it. haha. TV is not stressing unless you make it stressful.

Re: glee....

Love the show every time. Christine Chenoweth is incredible in a guest starring turn.

Re: glee....

Saw Puck's body in the most recent ep... and ep 3. PHWOARRRRR!!!!

Yep, he is a fine addition to the show. The cowboy song added a lot of nice butts in those jeans, don't you think?

I read that she signed on to the show as a recurring character, appearing in at least 4 or 5 episodes during the duration of the season. So we'll definitely see more of her.

Who knows. Will may make some "bad decisions" and get drunk with her one night and sleep with her. We know he nearly idolizes her and what is better than sleeping with your idol? Even better, have her get pregnant.

It doesn't take much to write soap operas.

I think the reason a lot of people like the show is that it combines two of America's favorite pasttime television shows; dramas and variety. Who knows, maybe musical theatre will be relevant again! (no not that Hannah Montana crap)

Re: glee....

JSRD, also hit up the "Entertainment" forum for a 3-page (and growing) "Glee" thread over there. Tacking onto an existing thread and riffing on the posts there can sometimes generate the best sparks of discussion than multiple threads on the same topic.

Well the show has continued it's downward spiral almost even squandering the immense talents of Kristin Chenoweth. Honestly I'm floored. Like a Lea Michele/Kristin Chenoweth duet should be heaven and even that came out sub-par in this sorry episode. Nonetheless Chenoweth did land some solid laughs and put on a stunning performance more or less.

Still the pacing and motives of this show are bizarre. It destroys any sense of urgency or depth in character with it. There's just NO continuity.

When Finn wanted to join the football team all hell broke loose and he was outcast from the social hierarchy. He was able to force them to keep him on because they 'needed' him to do well... only to find out a few episodes later the team never wins anything anyway! And then suddenly because their coach made them dance to "Single Ladies" which mysteriously made them better at football half the team, including the loudest basher are on the Glee club?!

Not to mention the Cheerleaders who were sent onto the Glee club as "spies" but after one failed mission are just there? Are they serious about it now? There's been some indication Quinn is but what the hell is up with that? Shouldn't that make the other two she drones pressure her or are they so much of sheep they just do what she says? No way to tell considering they don't have names or lines.

But lets ignore all that and get to the premise of this episode where they need to get Rachel back to win. OK Lea Michele's a fucking amazing singer. I buy this. But then Finn has to get her to come back so he can win a singing scholarship??!! WTF!? An episode ago he was trying to get an athletic scholarship, despite being on the worst team ever, off of Kurt's talent?! How stupid, inconsistent and unoriginal. How about someone else on the team wants her because they want to win for the sake or winning or they like her as a person or they like the way Glee use to be or any number of logical character driven reasons beyond this convoluded garbage! And what's with all these time management issues!? Half the team (including Kurt?) can be on the football team and do Glee, the cheerleaders can do both, Wheels can be in teh seldom mentioned Jazz club but Rachel can't multi-task?

Really this is just shaping up to be one jumbled piece of wasted potential.

I love this show. I will most likely continue enjoying this show as long as I can.

But every word you said here is exactly dead on.

WOW! Please for the love of god add Kristen Chenoweth to the cast! PLEASE! She was fantastic as April and I'm going to say it

APRIL>>>>>>RACHEL!

Her voice is beautiful, I love her chemistry with Will. Hell Will and April>>>>>>>>>>Will/Emma and Will/Terri. I enjoyed this episode and Finn totally is manipulating Rachel... BTW He sounded pitchy with his singing. FIX IT FINN!

Still loving Puck...

I really really enjoyed the last performance, MERCEDES absolutely killed that note.... Damn I have chills right now. GLEE COMPLETES ME!

Just watched this-

Really? Who would have thought of mashing It's My Life and Confession together? They were both iconic songs in their genre and career bests for both Usher and Jon Bon Jovi. Genius!

The only fault in this was Cory Monteith, this is not the first time I thought they casted a wrong person for his character. It was a little uncomfortable to watch his flailing limbs and overworked smile/sneer/grimace. Plus, vocally? There are tonnes of other actors who can act AND sing better than him.

^ a little uncomfortable? lol that was down right bizarre...I disagree listening to it without watching its all very good....but Damn mr. Monteith calm the fuck down! i was thinking the same thing back off the facial expressions a bit, but maybe theres a point to it?...idk...lol

gotta see the new episode tonight now. :)

also I gotta say...i think mostly the crap Cory Monteith was doing with his feet was annoying me...the weird footstomps and stuff...kickin his foot around... that was awkward lol

Did you catch that the character was on pseudoephedrine? That's the reason he was dancing like that.

Umm...some of the songs are questionable. Apparently Kurt will be singing Wicked's Defying Gravity in episode eight with Rachel, and apparently he will be singing Elphaba's part. Errr...that's kind of unreasonable...if you've never heard the original from the play here it is:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FlMBcTGJ4YM

Now imagine him singing that. !oops!

Maybe Defying Gravity (Somewhere Out There) from Our Lady Peace? Seems a more likely choice of song for him.

I'd be really happy if they chose this song instead. It's a BEEAUUUTIFUL song, that unfortunately never really took off for them.

I don't live in the US. And normally it takes half a day before someone uploads a new episode of any series on the internet. I've just watched it now, and yeah, now I get that... jerking-like dancing and catatonic expression on his face. Explains lots. Still think he overdid it, though, considering everyone else in the team also took the pill, but no one else looked like he did.

I kind of am over the story plot at this point. It's weak and sloppy, but I watch it for its creativity in reinventing songs that you've never thought could be sang that way, and for its hilarious moments (there are lots of them).

yeah after I started watching episode when Finn was looking all tired.. immediatly thought (then why is he so hyped up at the mash up performance??) and then as soon as the Terri pulled out those pills I was like "thats why!" lol

notice before after "I" was done talking about it ^^^ I said "maybe theres a point to it?? Idk"

i thought it was little odd...and there was a reason...I was right :)

I think Finn is suppossed to be awkard, during the Golddigger number when Schuster tells him to take the lead, finn remarks that he is still learning to sing and walk at the same time, Granted I think they wrote it cuz Corey is prolly really awkard in real life
