I didn't like how they exaggerated Rachel's character.
Ok, she's usually self-centered and annoying... but they took it too far. Seemed a little bit too much even for her.

The new bangs and the slightly more glam look to Rachel is going to hurt her character if they keep going in this direction. Before she was a character you could empathize with a little because she was obviously a girl with control issues. Now that she's sporting the new look, she just comes off as a bitch. What was once annoying yet endearing, is now just going to be completely annoying if they don't watch how they play her.

Besides, Quinn and Santana play the bitch role so well, Rachel can only pale in comparison. Love Quinn rocking the cheerleading outfit again--what a great actress, and underrated.

I, too, love the musical numbers. And I find it painful to actually watch the whole show! Probably too many bad high school memories. Sue Sylvester is just too bitchy for me to watch, too.

I know!! Rachel as a pretty girl, with the talent, the looks, the boyfriend and the attitude is just going to become a major bitch!

Quinn had a baby and that makes her lovable. Santana is just the whorish cheerleader whose life depend on that. But Rachel, we can only love her as an outcast, as an underdog, because that's why she's there!
 
OMG, the whole "living in Britney Spear's shadow" comment was hilarious. This episode was really funny.
Then some random phrases made me lol, like "it's Brittany... bitch". And "leave Brittany alone!"... so funny. I liked the songs they picked, because they were Britney's classics =)


Now... OK, we've had enough showbiz episodes. Choreographies are fun, making music videos is fun... but I'd rather they came back to old school vocals. I mean... C'mon, you're the Glee Club. Give us some Mariah, some Celine, some Christina, some Withney!!! I don't want Glee to be invaded by the MTV culture and end up doing Katy Perry songs...
 
the only things good about this episode:
1. Brittany S. Pears
2. a few random one liners from Santana
3. Sue
4. The return of Terry (Jessalyn Gilsig...I love her)

everything else SUCKED...I hated that they just re-did Britney's music videos...I also hate that they have made almost every one of the likable characters completely unlikable (Schue, Rachel, Finn)...and the always annoying, sucky storylines that aren't actual storylines.

The big difference is: Britney is a legend, Katie Perry is nothing.
 
Loved everything that came out of Brittany's mouth, and almost spit out my dinner at the "probed" line.

Other than that, I think this was the worst episode of the series to date.

The music videos were so tacked on; it was completely awkward. The highlight was seeing Mark from So You Think You Can Dance in one of them (damn, he's so fine).

Really, did Rachel need two damned solos? Her Britney one was a joke--I hope they were going for comedy, because she looked ridiculous in her pig tails and school girl uniform, trying to pull off sexy and failing.

I am sick to death of Jacob, and his near orgasm in the school gym was repulsive, inappropriate and just clumsy. Potentially the best number of the show, and it was ruined by this character.

Will came off like a total worm tonight. Sure, you can win a woman's heart by being a whiny copy cat. That brings 'em running.

I'm tired of moony Artie, and I'm even more tired of the weird facial expressions the actor uses when he badly lip syncs songs not made for someone like him to sing.

WTF with not getting to see the principal's office confrontation between Will and Kurt? Big dramatic moment, no follow through.

Sorry, minority members, you don't get to do much because we have to give Rachel two solos this episode. God forbid she can't be upstaged by Brittany.

Inserting Spears randomly into their dream sequences again was awkward. And how about that Britney Spears perfume they hawked several times in the commercials? How fortuitous that she just happens to have a new fragrance.

Character with the most heart? "The Beast."

I love this show, truly, and it's had some episodes with rough edges before, but I wondered if I was watching it jump the shark tonight. Next week's preview seemed to indicate a return to some real story-telling and seriousness, thank god. As much as I liked last week's episode, I hated this one.
 
It was hilarious!

Loved Brittnay and to see her being showcased movie is gr8. She's very talented.

Loved Santana Best Line: Get up in my grill because Britt's and i wants to get our anesthesia on!

Loved the music performances.

I also liked how they are showing the characters going redefining themselves. I would hate if they kept the characters the same. They are all going through growing pains.

I really loved Kurt's blow up with Schue. I like seeing him grow a pair and stand up for what he wants.

This episode was very very BLAH for me. Except for the Brittany comment about living in Britney Spear's shadow, the rest of the sooooo boring.

When did Mr Schue become such a WANK?!
