Reckon I'm reading way too much into a TV dramedy but was I the only one confused that Blaine is sending all these notes of "courage" to Kurt yet Blaine plainly states that he ran away from his problems at his public school to go to a private school? How is running away from your problem courageous?

Yes, but he stated in the episode that he wished he hadn't, and that he wanted Kurt to stand up and not do what he did and run away. Not to mention, that it might not be financially possible anyway (blaine's words)

You totally missed the whole point of that. He kissed Kurt, Kurt didn't really know how to deal with the situation, so he went to someone he knew could. If you had paid attention, you would have noticed that Blaine isnt the type of person who would go spreading rumors on a guy. And he tried to lend some help, sometimes you have to bring in a outside party to deal with an issue as big as that.

Anyway, good episode, good musical numbers. Nice to see a good gay kiss. It was unexpected sure, but it was real, which is nice to see on network television.

I would! I hope Kurt and Dave develop some kind of friendship. Blaine's nice and all but I don't see much happening between him and Kurt. He's appears to be too perfect.

I guess a lot of people watch Glee. I saw one episode and quite frankly it bugged the shit out of me. The only musical I've ever seen that I actually liked was Dancer in the Dark, although I did want to kill myself when it was over. Also I had no idea it was a musical when I rented it and I got ridiculously high before it started so by the time the music was happening I was really feeling it.

Glee`s version of Teenage Dream is apparently the best-selling song ever in the history of the show. Also the show is going to donate money to the Harvey Milk School. Pretty cool.

I thought the show was great. It showed what a lot of us had to go through every day growing up. I thought it was well written and spoke out to a demographic that needs to here that it gets better and to live your life with courage. We have lost too many gay kids in the past...I think this will hopefully help.

We should probably remember this is a show where bullies are allowed to physically assault students without any repercussions, even if they're seen by the goody-two-shoes Mr. Schue, as he has seen Sue do with at least one or two students since the show began. They play violence for laughs at times, but then try to treat it seriously at others. It's part of the disjointed nature of the show, and it wears a little thin.

Because this is a tv show, and it doesn't boast well for ratings and the drama on the show to make it that easy. Especially when you plan on basing an entire season on Kurt's struggle and journey.

One must not forget, this is a television show on national television (Fox of all networks) that isn't a gay themed show, it is a musical, and I doubt that most of the writers themselves are gay. Maybe if this show were on Logo or Here! I would have more expectations from it, but considering this is on Fox, and a show meant for teens and young adults, I am surprised they even bothered.

It showed what, unfortunately, truthfully happens all the time. Teachers see it and don't do anything. I think you were also Supposed to notice that he did nothing.

I agree this is often the case. Those who protest the loudest and create the most havoc are often struggling with their own sexuality. Many are in denial of being gay themselves. They use bullying to mask their true sexual desires.

They also considers themselves girls and can't fight back. Even the women of Glee are more masculine then Kurt. I guess the twist is that Women can be butch and still crave cock.

Since this is a TV show then we should throw common sense out the window. The whole gay bully thing has been done on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I think it's a cop out that they did that and wonder how they will address this story arc he is gay after all. I can see the bully come out with Kurt's help and unleash his inner flame. That's what the gays do you know. He could just snap and go all columbine.

How many teachers stepped in when they saw these kids that committed suicide getting bullied?

That's just too out of this world.

I'm sure the writers were very lucid to this and wanted the reaction of "WTF do something!" from the audience to parallel what is actually going on.

That's kewl that the show will focus on Kartofsky and his possible coming to terms and not just painting him in his usual one note written character. Maybe it will allow people to simply write off people as bullies. That they are on their own journey as well.

for anyone wondering, Mr.Shue finally acts in episode 8 'Furt' but....

Plot:
Sue’s “Nazi-hunting” mother, Doris (guest star Burnett) shows up in Lima to check in on her girls. Meanwhile, Kurt makes an important decision after getting pushed to his breaking point, and Rachel and Finn take a big step. As the glee club works toward competing in Sectionals, burgeoning romances continue to develop among the students.

Also Burt and Carole marry with the entire Glee club in attendance. Meanwhile, Mr. Schuester decides to get involved with Kurt's bully situation. But before he can act, Kurt is attacked but is saved by Sam. Both getting black eyes in the process.
