Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

Because you're wrong. I'm sure there are plenty of straight men who'd tap their toes to dance pop tunes as well.

What pisses me off about your obnoxious stupidity is that you insist that anyone who doesn't act like Dame Edna is just putting on a big act. I just act like me. You, however, act like a loser.

Go fuck yourself.

Jasun, I love your honesty and your 'take no prisoners' attitude.

thanks for sharing

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

It was cool in the episode, but this "remix" is silly...

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

Not trying to start drama but sinnatak has a little bit of a point. I dont get the hostility. The OP implies shame in liking the song, presumably b/c it of it's girlyness/gayness or whatever. So there is some self-loathing in that.

Usually straight guys are ashamed to like songs like this b/c it makes them look gay or "less of a man" in their eyes. But a real man doesn't need to be ashamed of being honest about what they like and what they don't.

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

no one said jasun was ashamed at glee being "too gay" or whatever, maybe he's ashamed because it's an awful show

for what it's worth I know more than a few straight glee fans who are not ashamed of that, and I actively dislike it.

damn.. I shouldn't even be in this thread.

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

True he could be saying it b/c it's an awful show. But I wasnt sure. It just seemed like it was b/c the song was "too gay" or whatever. I could be wrong but that's just how it came across.

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

Well that supports my theory on all Boy Private Schools lol.

"Self-Loathing?"

Jesus Fucking Christ.

You mean that I can't be a bit embarrassed to like a tacky disco mix of a candy floss pop tune (when I'm a pretty die-hard metal head) without being accused of being internally homophobic?

I mean.. I can post video of myself sucking cock on the internet... video of me jerking off to gay porn on the internet... I can make my living MAKING gay porn... but being a little embarrassed to like a song that's really aimed at 13 year-old girls... well THAT makes me "Self-loathing?"

And being brave enough to post a silly joke thread about it - again, on the internet - well, that's the height of self-loathing isn't it?

Holy Fuck Balls.#-o

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

If you're such a real man... why are you too ashamed to use your real name or a real face pic here at JUB?

Just saying.:p
I would have no problem if everyone did. But some people don't. And some people here are nuts. I don't think it's fair for people, especially crazies, to know what I look like and I cant see how they really look.

In my real life I'm completely open and honest about what I like and what I don't.

And I wasn't trying to attack you. I had no idea you were a metalhead. But it just seemed like you were having a reaction similar to when straight guys are embarrassed to like girly or "gay" songs. If that is not the case then fine. Unless it's kidz bop, I didnt think music really had an age.

Re: Glee "Teenage Dream" Dance Mix (songs I'm embarrassed to like)

Now why did you jump all over me when I said that gay guys were innately more womanly than straight guys?

Of course you can't not hate that, you're gay. No matter how much you try to be macho or develop your macho side.

Deal with it!!! and don't be ashamed of your girl half.

How does liking that song mean Jasun, or any gay guy, more womanly than straight guys?

Spookily the glee version of Teenage Dream was playing when I came across this thread.

Gwyneth Paltrow has been on the show for like, 5 minutes and I already love her.

Bring her back again, I can tell...

uggggggggggggggghh I just don't understand how they let this show get so fucking stupid.

Not even Sue and Brittany are saving it for me anymore. The plots and songs(Teenage Dream excluded) have been such a letdown.

Also...when did this turn into a "musical" show...not a show that features musical performances. It started out as a funny, fun show with heart that featured a Glee club performing in front of audiences or when they were practicing. Now it's hey, let's randomly burst into song anywhere, let's have ridiculous dream sequences, oh, we're just showing the rest of the glee club a song we're interested in? let's do a full stage show in the auditorium with lights, and orchestra, rain, but let's not forget that we don't have enough money to take a bus to sectionals! I don't see the difference between this and Cop Rock or Viva Laughlin now.

I still watch, but I find myself rolling my eyes a lot more now.

Where was my shirtless Chord Overstreet in tonight's episode???? C'mon, what a let down...worst episode of the season!!!!!;) With no hot Chord tonight, now I'm going to have to get out my Bel Ami DVD's with Tim Hamilton.

Okay, I'm in love with "Sam". Simple as that!
