Glen Beck Puts Foot in Mouth Yet Again

I really hate a guy like that, big mouth non sense and so full of himself.

Maybe it is just for the show, in private he maybe as quite as a mouse?

What would be headline news if he actually said something intelligent.

No, that does not seem to be the case with any of the people who have interviewed him after trailing him for a couple of days to see Glenn Beck in his element.

Remember in one of Glenn's books, he’s admitted to being a borderline schizophrenic; and in another he confessed he suffers from multiple personality disorder. Currently, he admits openly and regularly having ADHD, and taking medication for it (Ritalin).

I highly question a doctor that would prescribe a former cocaine addict Ritalin. Ritalin is a DEA controlled and scheduled medication in class II, which is the highest form of narcotics and drugs that are allowed to be sold in the USA because of their extremely high rate of abuse. Ritalin mimics cocaine very closely.

He was actually accepted into Yale. A man who once had many vices and yet transforms himself into a 32-million-dollar-a-year businessman isn't stupid.

His success is more a testament to the stupidity of his followers than his intellect. He, like Sarah Palin, have a knack for getting wealthy separating their stupid followers from their cash. Good for them. Less money they can send to stupid, Republican politicians.

Why am I not surprised that laikaNYC and others on the far-right think that was not racist.

Why is everybody calling Beck ignorant or unintelligent?

Here is a man who discovered an entire market of people willing to watch his song-and-dance, and a marketing base willing to pay hand over foot for his particular brand of circus act. Tell me any other talking head that rakes in the millions like Beck does. I remember the center-right rationalism Beck displayed on CNN, I now see him rolling in the dough by playing this caricature on Fox.

The man is nothing more than a Hollywood actor transplanted into this new era of info-tainment that the press has degenerated into. Hell, I would be willing to bet that everyone at Fox news consistently votes a straight democratic ticket; it's far easier to sell fear to somebody when their team is out of power.

I just call it like I see it. There was nothing racist about that.

I suggest you do some research on the "far-right". That would actually be something like Fascism. Strange, because I love living in a democracy.

I have a Royal flush, what do you have?

Oh damn, the race card!

Just because you can doesn't mean you should. Glenn Beck is a con man. Many / most of his followers don't understand that he's full of bullshit, and they parrot his logical fallacies wherever they go. Glenn Beck (as is much of FAUX "News") is cashing in on the journalistic integrity and public trust that newspapers and newscasts have spent over 100 years forging with their readers / viewers. He is making a mockery of people who spent their lives trying to make sure they were always upholding standards like Walter Cronkite, Edward R. Murrow, Bob Woodward, Diane Sawyer, and others.

He is living off the fact that the media by in large is trusted to "get it right" far more often than government or big corporations. Unfortunately, this is getting torn down more and more everyday by clowns like Beck, who wouldn't know journalistic integrity unless it was something he could snort up his nose.

You're a man who watches Keith Olbermann, Rachel Maddow, and Ed Schultz. What do you know about journalistic integrity

   LMAO!

Gotta love the fear mongering he schleps, and then says, "hey buy gold"! A fool and his money....

You'd be surprise at the amount of money("sponsors") he gets to spew the "gold is t safest route"-doomsday apocalypse Scenario. Then he goes on to create the environment for his self fulfilling prophecy...Bravo Mr beck:=D:....Though I must say i really don't think he meant it the way people are putting it to be( that may be because I see the good in people:kiss:)

Maddow is probably the most neutral person on MSNBC-though Olberman and Ed are are bit...well yeah...They are though nothing compare to BEck

Glenn Beck chooses his words carefully and does so in order to produce reactions. There is no doubt that it was a swipe at Blacks and a comment meant to draw snickers from the racist Whites that make up his audience. He couldn't have said The Twilight Zone ... and instead had to go for Planet of the Apes.

What people won't do to make a buck. He is just a master at giving people with prejudiced tendencies and pre-conceived notions about others exactly what they want.

Annoying idiot !!!

So Glen is off and running once more, comparing Obama's America to the Planet of the Apes...

Notice how *Dr. Zaius, the Minister of Science *cough* I mean Glenn Beck lost his mind only during the "special interest" part?

*:
Zaius serves a dual role in Ape society, as Minister of Science in charge of advancing ape knowledge, and also as Chief Defender of the Faith. In the latter role, he has access to ancient scrolls and other information not given to the ape masses. Zaius knows the true origins of the ape society, how mankind fell as the dominant species, and the reasons why the Forbidden Zone is so regarded, and he blames human nature for it all. Zaius seems to prefer an imperfect, ignorant ape culture that keeps humans in check, to the open, scientific, human-curious one posed by Cornelius and Zira's generation (though it is never fully explained just why this is). The idea of an intelligent human (such as Taylor) threatening the balance of things frightens him deeply. Knowing the destruction that humanity (with the aid of technology) caused in its downfall, he doesn't want even the possibility of a human resurgence. At the end of Planet of the Apes, Zaius has Cornelius's archaeological findings (human artifacts, predating the Ape society) destroyed, and Cornelius and Zira arrested on heresy charges.

Freudian Slip on Beck's part?

EDIT: So I just realized right afterwards that apparently that clip added in from Planet of the Apes was NOT added in by Glenn Beck...apparently it was put in by whoever put it on youtube.

So I gotta say as much as I hate Glenn Beck, I don't see this as being racist at all actually.

It would have been more honest for that information to have been posted up front. Bad one, rareboy.

That's been my suspicion, that he's playing a part.

One in three... not good.

Of course the Planet of the Apes can only be more of the enlightenment Beck receives directly from the Almighty.

''God is giving a plan I think to me that is not really a plan. ... The problem is that I think the plan that the Lord would have us follow is hard for people to understand. ... Because of my track record with you who have been here for a long time. Because of my track record with you, I beg of you to help me get this message out, and I beg of you to pray for clarity on my part.''
