Go, Go Power Rangers (the entire series on Netflix)

Now go check out the series about the next Avatar, "The Legend Of Korra". The whole 1st season is free to watch on Nick.com, last time I checked.
Haha, actually, I saw Legend of Korra when it came out, then I rewatched Avatar: The Last Airbender cause once again, I couldn't satisfy my Chinese-influenced Fantasy fix :D

Also can we discuss how annoying it is that P.R. without the periods automatically filters itself to PR.

I prefer MMPR better, at least it means something cause PR is so broad, ranging anywhere from Puerto Rico to Public Relations.

Just finished up watching Zeo, an underrated season for sure, and I loved the bloopers. There was one episode near the end of the season that had me WTF-ing thru out. Tommy was having a serious case of deja vu, I seriously thought my disc was defected. David Yost's abrupt departure was sad when knowing the real facts behind it, I really grew to like Billy and have a new found respect for the actor.

Unlike the first movie Turbo is canon, correct? If so it leads to some questions regrading Jason/Emily/Kim/John Doe (Kim's bf). I had made a comment awhile back about Kim & Jason seemingly being an item in this film, but that was before I knew about Emily. I haven't seen this movie in such a long time, but was it ever mentioned how Kim & Jason reconnected?

Also can we discuss how annoying it is that P.R. without the periods automatically filters itself to Google Page Ranking.

Ugh. When did this change occur? I do like that JustUsBoys is more mobile friendly now but pretty much everything else has been a negative, tbh. Especially when posting pictures or gifs. :(

Yeah, the Turbo movie takes place within the continuity of the show. Unfortunately, as a transition between Zeo and Turbo, it's pretty bad. All of the storylines at the end of Zeo -- like Jason being around and Emily being his girlfriend, Bulk and Skull going to France, them and Lt. Stone leaving the police force, Rita and Zedd returning, and even Kat and Tommy dating -- are ignored in the movie and further ignored in Turbo itself because the writers wanted to break away from Zeo and start fresh to try to boost the ratings.

I remember it when Lord Zedd was on..not so scary now but when I was a kid..yikes!

i'm not a big fan of reboots.

But I think Power Rangers is one of those franchises that DESERVES a serious reboot!

It would be HUGE in the right hands. Like how i thought a Transformers was possible after i saw that teaser so long ago!

They have serieses in production all the time so there probably isn't a need to make a huge blockbuster movie out of it.

A Power Rangers reboot wouldn't happen. The public at large would be expecting an MMPR-based movie, and while that's fine, the show that'll still be on the TV at the same time as the movie wouldn't have the MMPR characters or costumes or villains or setting, so it would just set people up to be disappointed.

I was also thinking of a reboot, it is definitely one of those ideas that could work in theory, but would ultimately fizzle. I would love a MMPR based film franchise that fleshed out the origin of the original six, Zordon, Alpha, Rita, and Zedd. (Along with over-the-top morphed/Zord action sequences.) In the vein of the first film where the story takes place in an AU.

Good knowing I don't have to sit thru that movie before watching Turbo. (!)

I think I'm gonna watch the first movie tonight! Also, fucking glad the seasons have officially been released.

TJ (paraphrasing): "I'm tired of eating vegetables, today we're gonna toss your salad."

Oh?

Out of the Turbo 2.0 cast, TJ is the one I like the least. Mainly because the actor isn't making me believe anything he's selling. I know P.R. isn't known for stellar acting, but Selwyn Ward is sticking out for all the wrong reasons for me. Thank goodness he's pretty tho. Surprisingly I'm not finding bowl cut Justin all that annoying. :help:

I dunno, TJ is one of my favorite Red Rangers. I just think he's a chill dude (and hot), plus he isn't angsty like every Red after him until Ninja Storm. He and Cassie were my favorites out of the Turbo 2s... actually they were the only two I liked. Ashley was Kimberly-Lite without the depth or charisma and Carlos was wallpaper and easily the worst actor out of those five. >_<

Humph, I'll keep that in mind when watching PRiS and see if my opinion on him changes. I don't have a problem with the character per say -- he also broke the mold of Jason's/Tommy's Red rangers before him as well -- but Selwyn's portrayal leaves me underwhelmed. *shrugs* I definitely agree with your assessment on everyone else in the cast: Carlos is pretty bland, Ashley is diet-Kim, Justin is... Justin, and I'm in love with Cassie too. (Patricia Ja Lee's voice acting of Jill Valentine in the RE series is the only version I will accept.:D)

I just found out that Jason Faunt, the actor who played the Red Time Force Ranger, is the body capture model for Leon in RE 6. Crazy, huh?

The thing that always left me sour about the Turbo 2 cast is how quickly they replaced the veterans. With all of the previous Ranger switches (except Rocky, but that also came under the umbrella of Turbo), viewers had plenty of notice that something was going on and that Rangers would be changing soon. They hinted at Carlos and Ashley a little bit, but TJ and Cassie were introduced in the same two-parter they became Rangers, which was also the first time we learned that most of the original team was leaving (except Kat; they actually got some groundwork for her leaving ahead of time, which is weird since she was the only they did that for)... D:
