In theaters May 16th.

In Summer 2014, the world's most revered monster is reborn as Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures unleash the epic action adventure "Godzilla." From visionary new director Gareth Edwards ("Monsters") comes a powerful story of human courage and reconciliation in the face of titanic forces of nature, when the awe-inspiring Godzilla rises to restore balance as humanity stands defenseless.

Gareth Edwards directs "Godzilla," which stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson ("Kick-Ass"), Oscar® nominee Ken Watanabe ("The Last Samurai," "Inception"), Elizabeth Olsen ("Martha Marcy May Marlene"), Oscar® winner Juliette Binoche ("The English Patient," "Cosmopolis"), and Sally Hawkins ("Blue Jasmine"), with Oscar® nominee David Strathairn ("Good Night, and Good Luck.," "The Bourne Legacy") and Bryan Cranston ("Argo," TV's "Breaking Bad").

they CAN'T feed our poor, but they can afford a remake of a remake of a remake ??? how many millions were wasted on a film that most people will NEVER watch until its on netflix ?

^wow someone needs to relax a bit.

I'm so excited for this! I got my tickets last weekend. My friends and I are going to see it in imax! We can't wait

Oh, I think it looks like a lot of fun. If initial reports are favorable, I might actually see it at a theater.

Here's the Japanese trailer. Gozheera!

I'm excited. I have an 80" 3D flatscreen and can't wait to add it to my collection. I'm not sure if I'll see it in a theater first because 3D movies look better at home than in the theater with the exception of imax.

I'll go for Godzilla AND Aaron Johnson, NOT necessarily in that order!;)

didnt realize it was Hollywood's job to feed the poor?

I'll probably catch the Imax version. Although now that the reviews are in, it's clear that this movie has been overhyped. Consensus sounds familiar: great CGI, but underwhelming story and human characters. Evidently the Bryan Cranston dramatic scenes are about all that we have seen in the trailers and not much more.

Saw it this evening. It wasn't bad. Definitely entertaining. It is what it is; a big monster movie. Although the title character gets relatively little screen time, which was odd.:?

I'm not sure if they had the budget for more of godzilla than what we saw. Hopefully they can get a boom in the sequel.

I liked it. The human characters were flat but the kaiju scenes were amazing!

I dug it, thought it was real good. The human stuff wasn't the greatest but overall I thought the whole thing was well put together and well paced.

Very neat effects but a lot of mistakes and I really didn´t understand the romantic part of it... was it necessary?

Nah.

The whole perfect family thing was a drag. Plus it's a shame to get a great actress like Elizabeth Olsen and just have her cry and nurture all the time

who's pea brain idea was it to cast Aaron Johnson - he's bland and completely uncharismatic for the lead - Elizabeth Olsen SHOULD have been the lead in my opinion.

The Dolby Atmos mix though was completely insane - the first roar made the hairs on my neck stand straight up.

I agree that AJ's character left much to be desired. But at least he was good eye candy.

Agreed.

When he was in the dust and you just start to see the glow of the Atomic Breath go up the spikes on his tail
, it was so awesome. Loved it.
