Going stealth

I've never used stealth....don't even know if I can.
I've also never clicked the logout function.........does that mean my green light is on all the time?

No need for me to go stealth, if I wanted to be invisible I would just delete my account.

What's with all these stealth jubbers lately??? [-X

You all know who you are!

Oh BTW, I'm a mod and I see all! :p

none of your damn business!

besides, i can become invisible when i adjust the protective energy field surrounding my person. it's just another wonderful function of my handy-dandy ring.

:p

i dont stealth, i'm here for everyone to see :p

considering how gorgeous you are it would be a crime not to be seen!

(*8*)

I don't get why anyone would bother to use it; but then I guess it must look like I'm here all the time. I often leave my computer on, playing music and downloading stuff, with my browser up still logged on to JUB, whilst I go off and do other things.

I wouldn't ascribe any evil motivations behind it, but it does seem to be damned silly. How'd that work in committee?

"I think people might want to know if a fellow JUBber is online or not."
"I know! Let's make a little indicator next to people's posts that lets people know if they're online."
"That sounds good."
"I've got an idea. Maybe if they post enough, we can give them the power to alter that indicator, so they can appear to be offline when they really aren't."
"...Why would they want to do that?"
"I dunno. Maybe they like being sneaky?"
"OK, sure. Why not?"
"And then maybe a moderator can come online periodically and OUT the people who keep saying they're offline even though they aren't!"
"...Isn't this getting rather complicated?"
"You know how us types love the drama."
"Ooo, good point. Let's get on it."

I don't think I've ever physically signed out of JUB at all. The times I had to log back in were after JUB updated its software and stuff. Luckily I can remember the password still... Maybe I'm just lazy :D

So how exactly are you able to go stealth??? And to reinforce Ray's question, so if I'm not logged out, then my green light is on all the time??

never what??? Oh finish your sentence, and remember don't say anything if your mouth is full :p

Yes, I know, please finish your food first tcb, remember to swallow and chew correctly.

A reliable source tells me that the green light does go out after a while - it just takes a bit longer than if you'd logged off.

It's all too high tech for me. Who needs stealth?
From now on I'm just going to wear this:

^^o....k

TCB, have you ever written a post without icons in?

oh, right, the topic...

I never logged out cos I forgot my password hehe so it pretty much looks like I am on 24/7 and have no life.

^^ calm yourself princess it was just a question, and apparently the answer is no

I always find it useful to know who is online when I need to find a MOD in a hurry
