Mr Halfway is leaving the White House. Good riddance. Watered down bills. Crappy compromises. Not my idea of change.

CNN is breaking this news. Not much on the net yet.

Rahm has generally struck me as one of those people for whom it's all about appearances, maneuvering, counting points whether there's any substance to them or not -- kinda like cops who make themselves look good by getting their points for making arrests, without regard for whether those arrests result in convictions. Time for someone who isn't into flash and labels but into content.

Rahm gets out of the way prior to the elections. Just in the nick of time.

Watch Rahm become a diehard liberal in Chicago.

Yeah.

Somewhat predictably, he's been mostly a disappointment.

(But, I'd be lying if I said I didn't think he was hot as fuck.) :?

Even here in good old blighty this is making national news just saw a segment on cnn as i was getting ready for work . Wow once you Americans bite you just dont let go(which i love), the guy looked like a rabbitt caught in the headlights.

The best farewell to give Rahm is FUCK U!

He has been a total disappointment.

All the rats are abandoning ship.

I'd choose a BIG RAT to take his place -- Bill Clinton for Chief of Staff.

so who's going to be the next scapegoat for Obama's willingness to throw anything and everything under the bus to score a political victory?

I have to agree with you. We went from Bush having blind faith in incompetent people like "Brownie" at FEMA and Rumsfield the chickenhawk that overruled the best and brightest generals when he was advocating for a smaller number of troops to invade Iraq with. Now we have "No Drama" Obama who is quick to kick people to the curb like Desiree Rogers and Shirley Sherrod but somehow manages to defend a Jeremiah Wright.

Considering this from that "blind faith" avenue, I have to agree here. It doesn't let Rahm off the hook, but it does point up one of the possible detrimental effects of delegation: you'd better pick good people to delegate to -- and then you really ought to know which ones to defend.

 Would you care to share with the rest of the class how many Reagan staffers left at the 2 year mark? Would you care to share how many left the HW Bush administration 2 years in? And lastly would you like to share how many staffers bolted after 2 years of the Bush Jr. term?

Christ and i thought that British politics were insane and nasty. Coming to realise that your way of political defense is get up and go,and ido mean get up and go.
