If you click on it you get a search result for "Happy Holidays" and when you mouse over the graphic you get : "Happy Holidays from Google" [-X

What a bunch of cunts!

25/12 is Christmas according to the calendar .....

I'll tell you what I say anytime someone gets their knickers in a wad about someone else's choice of festive greeting.

Fine! Have miserable holidays then!

I for one enjoy having happy holidays. But it's up to you.

Then divest yourself of allGoogle products, as they are clearly anti-Christian and anti-American.

fuckers... it must be a war on Christmas... proceed to Fox news immediately and you will get instructions

You know I live in a country where 99% of the population celebrates Christmas and still this PC happy holidays crap has reached here.

As much as anti-religion I can sometimes be I still realize the strong ties between culture and religion and I don't really see the point in going up against that.

If I moved to a country where most people are Muslims then I would not be offended if someone wished me happy Ramadan.

The weird thing is that most of the people who are offended and speak against it still don't mind getting few days off of work just like everybody else.

I'll be glad when Christmas gets over all its secular commercialized greedy bullshit and becomes a little more spiritual and reflective. I like tiny tots with their eyes all aglow but not a bunch of hopped up screaming youngins at the wal-mart.

And I'll be glad to call it Xmas.

Most of the people that think I need to learn more about Jesus treat me like shit and totally disrespect me and my beliefs. Them acting like whiny bitches over stuff like "Xmas" is a recent development that calls up an image in my mind of a torturer mocking his captive.

Everyone doesn't celebrate Christmas. What's the big deal?

Well fine then on Kwanzaa day they should have that and on Hanukkah that as well...at least acknowledge the day...good grief

I bet they will have NOTHING for Boxing day either....

Google is a turd!

The phrase "Happy Holidays" is not anti-anything and it's certainly not anti-religion. Holiday = holy day (citation)

Who gives a flying fuck?

Honestly, I lol at people who have somehow made "Happy Holidays" an offensive phrase. Get over yourselves.

EXACTLY!

If people want to say merry cristmas - say it - and leave others alone to say whatever the fuck they want to say!

Unfortunately, not all people are Christian. For those who are not, today is just Happy Tuesday...and a good holiday.

They're just covering their arses same as everyone else these day but now you can't even do that without getting into trouble from those that think they own the day! Happy December 25th all.

Google never does Merry Christmas anymore.

Nor should a purely commercial site have to.

They don't have to wish me fucking anything.

My relationship with Christmas doesn't rely on that.

Google is a secular international website.

It's calling for the celebration of Christmas -- which is not celebrated world-wide -- should not be expected.

Why is it "unfortunate" ?

I'm an athiest but I'm not bothered by the phrase "Merry Christmas", I say it myself. It dosen't have a religious connection in my mind, it's the same as "Happy Holidays" or "Seasons Greetings", they're simply celebratory phrases referencing a cultural event.
The only people bothered by this are those on the extreme edges. The folks who whine about the "War on Christmas" are just befuddled that their grip on society is being broken.
From what I understand, organised religion (at least in America) is declining in numbers, but I'll bet the phrase "Merry Christmas" stays long after religion looses it's cultural influence.

It IS offensive. Google (amongst many many others) have no problem putting a menorah up and wishing everybody Happy Hanukkah, and then putting a kinara up and wishing everybody a festive Kwanzaa. But during Christmas, they decide "Happy Holidays" will be more "inclusive"?
