Well I got a google wave account.

For those who don't know, Google Wave, if picked up by consumers will revolutionize what you do with communication.

I have 8 invites, so if you want one, PM me your email.

I'm on the "let me know when it's available" list and will welcome our new Google overlords.

How is it so far? The demo vid looked incredible.

It's actually been pretty amazing. I found some people with it to try it out, and I have to say. It isn't like anything I have ever tried.

because we don't know all it's powers, we really just used it like a live action instant messenger. I brought in a paragraph for us to edit together. And the extensions for it are pretty amazing.

If I figure out how to get the sudoku extension in a wave, we can all work on a sudoku puzzle together.

I am so happy the Google Overlords feel me worthy to try out all their cool stuff. First Google Voice, now Wave.

i'm not nerd enough...i don't think i understand the hoopla.
there is truly no limit on what it could do. it could be simple email, your dedicated im client. you can use your twitter or facebook through it, and get real time stuff.

then there are group projects and stuff that can be edited and worked on in it.

i can't really wrap my brain around it fully yet either, but it's potential is enormous.

I'm excited to get my hands on it. I do the occasional collaborative document. with people. I also help the younger friends I have with their homework and stuff. I think the collaborative function for that alone is worth it.
i am out of invites. but you are all on the lists if they give me more.

they only gave me 8, but apparently some people got 100 of em. which i don't get, but hey.

If anyone hears anything about spare invites I'd really like one...

Watching that video....brought to mind Young Frankenstein (Gene Wilder) demonstrating the abilities of his "reanimated" creation, the monster Puttin' on the Ritz...

Hey guys I would love an invite and I’m dying to try Wave out. I am willing to trade a Google Voice invite for a Google Wave invite (I live in Canada so i can’t really use Voice).

ALSO I have a Lockerz invite if people are interested in that. Also if i’m in a good mood somebody might just even get both.
Here are screenshots to prove I have invites to both services.

If you want to contact me my e-mail is johnfredrickson4@gmail.com
Much love. Namaste.

EDIT: If I am fortunate enough to receive an invite, I will share with you guys.

I'm hoping for an invite soon. I still have 97 GMail invites from when it was Beta if anyone wants to do a swap :)

It's easy.

It's all the worst of IM ing and web 2.0 in just one program.

I don't like how "browsery" it looks. The panes are a pain. It looks ugly, and squishes your interaction with the computer ever toward the right edge of the screen.

I think the technology might be okay but the method of interaction looks terrible and I hope the user interface will be completely reconceptualised.

I do like the "rosy" translation, but that could be implemented in anything, not just the "wave"
