Inside sources confirm to me that Gossip Girl will indeed be having an extra-long season next year (to make up for the episodes we missed this year due to the strike).

Though nothing will be made official until next week when the CW announces its schedule in New York City, I'm told the show has been confirmed for a 24-episode season two.

A rep for the network confirms that Michelle Trachtenberg has joined the cast of the privileged-teen-centered soap Gossip Girl, in which she'll play one of the bitchier members of the bunch.


I guess B is not the biggest bitch on the show anymore. But I'm glad Michelle is staying I just love G.

I think the show just got cancelled. It was just revealed that the show was being written by 10 year girls. Child labor laws made them shut down.

I think B wanted to hear the whole story, since it sounds like what we saw on the last episode was all that S told her. She told Nate and Chuck that what she knew didn't make any sense.

I'm not a huge fan of characters doing stupid things for no apparent reason. Not telling Dan about Georgina was one thing but then lying to him about sleeping with other men to spare his feelings of her up on the pedestal she helped him put her on? Hello, that's lying and showing your own boyfriend you can't even trust him with your biggest secret but the people you've slept with and have slept with each other do know. Even her mother knows!

Other than Serena and her stupid self doing stupid things the episode was completely awesome. Still not a fan of Nate and V, still because they're both boring actors with boring storylines. And having no Jenny is nice. I guess they really have nothing for her to do other than fight with Blair and since they're clearly saving all that for next season, I guess we won't be seeing her until then.

And is it just me or was Chuck seriously so much hotter than he's ever been last night? Yum!

nah...it wasn't just you. maybe it was the brief glimpse of his softer side. although i gotta say, i'm glad that he's apparently NOT going to turn into some lovesick moron...like Dan and Nate.
i gotta be honest though...this show kinda sux. it has potential but some of the storylines are just like.....
Dan's dad was looking exceptionally hot last night too. i'm still kinda having trouble buying him with 2 teenage kids.

The cop-out thing at the end was such a tired 'cliffhanger' thing to pull. Liked Nate getting back together with his tru luv Chuck. Hate Jenny. Hate her 'designs'. No way she'd get an internship anywhere. Next season should be fun. Wish I were summering in the Hamptons this year.

If they had just left the show where it ended before the writers strike, they'd have been fine. They came back strong but got progressively worse. They call that a season finale? Season finales are to leave you wanting more. I don't care about anything that happened apart from Nate and Vanessa breaking up.

Now instead of shoving the two boring characters together in a corner and leaving them there like before, we now have to endure Nate everywhere Serena is and V everywhere Dan is now. Sigh.

Bring on season 2. I guess.

Then again, even a 3 is better than the total ZERO that was the OTH finale right after.
