Got my first "Sex Offender moving to your neighborhood" notice.

If they start calling guys who pee in a park "sex offenders", then this type of list becomes worthless.

What is it w/ you guys and the peeing issue? Okay, I gotta ask, would you feel the same way if a woman pulled her panties down right in front of you and squatted down to take a piss? What if kids were present? I mean, it is a park. And, are there no bathrooms present or no other place this woman could go to relieve herself in private?

If there truly were no bathrooms present and this was some sort of emergency, evidence of those facts would be heard. It's not like someone just gets tagged for taking a leak. But yeah, don't whip your dick out in public and you'll be safe.

I'm not a fan of 'The List' because the definition of 'Sex Offender' is SOOOO broad and also has different meanings in different jurisdictions.

I'm all in favor of public shaming and even the big Scarlet Letter being applied to a pedophile's forehead; heck, I'd even go farther but this is a public message board.

Rapists, as far as I'm concerned, should be shot.

What I'm NOT in favor of is these types of offenses being listed as a Sex Offender, often for life:
--Getting caught with a sex toy: Sex Offender
--18 year old experimenting consensually with a 17 year old: Sex Offender
--Guy relieving himself out in the woods and caught by the law: Sex Offender

A personal knowledge case: Man accused of 'inappropriate contact' with a 16 year old girl. Said Girl is illegitimate daughter of Son's Wife (second marriage for Son's Wife). 16 year old daughter is a B%$@# and doesn't like her Mom's new husband. Man proclaims innocence and gets bad legal advice and pleads guilty (he only has an 8th grade education) and gets Probation for two years but gets Sex Offender label for LIFE. Learns he can no longer visit his Daughter's house and his two Grandchildren because they live across the street from an Elementary School. He proclaimed his innocence (and I believe it) until he died. And BTW, B%$#& 16 year old (now 21) has now been arrested TWICE for bad behavior (shoplifting and assault).

The 'List' is bogus.

I remember when my neighborhood first found out that we had one as well. People freaked out and the police came to talk to us to warn the neighbors not to harrass him because they would be put in jail for it.

After a while, the parents just realized that it did not really change anything. They keep an eye on their children anyways and tell them not to talk to strangers.

Given some of the stories which do the rounds in HT and the other forums, I wonder how many JUBbers are on the Sex Offenders' registry.

No, I'm not saying he is innocent. He made a mistake, and paid the price, and did jail time. IMO that should end it, but it obviously dosent. The "tag" is there, always, and it effects almost everything. Work, housing, vacations, etc. Its amazing to me the stigma attached by everyone that finds out, and assumes the worst. I wont go into details, but suffice it to say it was consensual, but "he" was underage (1 yr) and "mom" found out. Still wrong, yes, I know. But he is treated as if he raped a 12 year old. And getting off the list ??? OMG, you wouldn't believe it.

All I am saying is if we have to have this damn list, then do it fairly. An offender should not be treated as a predator, it should be case by case.

'Sex Offender' is such a broad term these days it is a bit silly.

Good point. I hope people realize that registered sex offenders are by no means all pedophiles. Some were busted for exposing themselves to an adult female, etc. Nasty but not something that's going to keep me up nights...

I have seen a lot women doing this (although I never saw older women do this, just the up to 30 maybe 35 young women ). I remember one free-open air concert where in the small tree groups in the park, the guys at least were like standing behind a tree while you almost literally had to climb over the girls just not bothering going a bit deeper "in".
And yes there were plenty of toilets, but it was totally bad planned from the organizers, because they were only on one side of the stage (so you would have needed to go through the whole crowd).

Once late at night at a major crossroads, I saw a young women in peg-leg black jeans pull them down and squat to piss at the side of a gas station that was open for business at the time.

Also, back in the late 60's/early 70's, according to my mother, the middle-aged wife of one of my dad's army buddies occasionally would stop, wearing a skirt and no underwear (as usual). to piss in a well lit parking lot in front of a large plate glass window of some restaurant/bar she was about to enter. The woman had a problem with alcohol and needing to be the center of sexual attention.
