the other lad lied when he said that gareth had given him the book...he was friends with gareth's brother but we might assume that he had his eye on gareth from before, unable to understand or cope with his own sexuality and being confronted with his other freinds he "has" to rape gareth...he is remorseful in the shower and he accepts gareth's anger and holds him in remorse...then again i don't know shit...
 
I didn't get the ending til i saw mexamor's post. then i thought it was just stupid.
