I know this isn't a game thread but it BOGGLES my mind that no one playing the game mentioned you will need a usb flash drive if you are like me who has Xbox Arcade which isn't big enough for the game.

I'm installing now and I would have been disappointed that no one mentioned this. Thankfully I had a flash drive but I would have been irked had this happened to me.

I would rather they do that while making a game than cap and limit it to what an xbox can handle and stunt its content for everybody, which is what too many developers are doing.
 
Game spoiler
The game started out with a gunfight with cops. But snce then, you do missions / tasks. Here's a sample. Im chasing a boat ( but I died in the mission)

The 'n' word is used a lot, they say "n1gger".

Including WoW in that is pretty cheap...they make 150$ million a month off subscriptions alone, or something stupid like that.
 
Not a shock that it sold so well. It's GTA, not Barbie's Magical Wish For The Pegasus That Sings Songs that Make The World Sing.

Call me when the latter makes Mattel half a billion dollars. Hell, call me when the latter brand creates a game good enough to play.

Loving that each time this game comes out though, the same bullshit comes about. These games make people want to kill other people and whatnot. Played many a Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat in my day, and miraculously, my friends walked away with hearts still beating, spines intact, and no 3rd degree burns from that well placed hadouken. Watch wrestling every week, never tried a northern Lights suplex. Big fan of Breaking Bad, never once tried making, snorting, smoking or vein-popping meth.

People that act as if these things are wastes of times aren't gamers, so your disdain is irrelevant. People acting like these games create a negative stimuli that leads to direct violence seem to only blame a minuscule portion of entertainment and ignore the real root of the problem.

now if you'll excuse me, all this is distracting me from playing GTA.
 
Funny thing is, there is plenty to do in this game that doesn't involve killing at all. The map in this is so huge. I only got to play a little bit of it at my younger brothers house, but I had a lot of fun with what I did get to play. Plenty of things in this game look so good, but man the fucking water looks phenomenal.
 
Serious glitch found in the game. Cars can disappear if you park in a garage:

Car theft is a serious problem in Los Santos, but it's turning out to be an even bigger headache for Rockstar Games.

A bug in Grand Theft Auto V is causing cars and car upgrades to disappear when players park vehicles in the game's various garages, which are supposed to be save points. As a result, Rockstar is warning fans not to use those garages until they can solve the problem.

"We have received some reports about problems with cars and garages, particularly after upgrading and then completing a mission, and are looking into this now. Unfortunately, we do not currently have a workaround to recover a car if it is missing," the developer said on its support page. "Please try to avoid parking a car in a garage, driving one already in a garage, or getting in a default vehicle, when playing as a character other than the one with your upgrades."

No one's quite sure what triggers the bug. Rockstar noted it may occur if you drive another character's vehicle (i.e. Franklin taking one of Michael's rides out for a spin).

GTA 5 - flying in a plane over the map (in fast motion), then landing
This area of the map is not available in the game yet so cops come and I die.
(I meant to post the video where I land successfully for the first time)

You can stab cows with a forklift so if I go out and really do that, the game is totally to blame ;-)

I did an hour worth of video capture and the sound didnt work ;-(

Driving around (its a two step process to do a video capture - [record to video / capture from video] - so I just used my camera (again)

 
I'm going to wait until i see that game in the discount bins at Game Stop

I like playing the old games even tho i lose all the time
