Rich Lowry piece - really good

Poor BO - his "teen tour" is a distant memory - real deal now - and his "take" on Russia vs. Georgia (not a college fb game) is varied and frankly a moving target

whereas - JMac was on it - right on it - and right - and strong - and u know

what u want from ur leader

Bush kinda fucked up with Putin - trusting him too much - and that was a mistake

JMac's idea to boot Russia from the G-8 is now looking kinda ......... SMART

Just like his surge idea

he's old and not as good looking as BO - but he knows his shit - cuz he's done it - he knows the people and the situations cuz he's experienced it

big difference

very big

he was ahead of the game in wanting to reach out to eastern euro countries to join nato

experience matters

take a read - im sure u will love it as much as i do

MAC'S MOMENT

ONLY GROWNUP ON GEORGIA

PRESIDENT Bush's assurance back in 2001 that he looked into Vladimir Putin's soul and liked what he saw was the international equivalent of his "heckuva job" boosterism of Federal Emergency Management Agency Director Michael Brown in the immediate wake of Hurricane Katrina in 2005.
Bush's endorsement of Putin was partly a matter of calculation; when he says glowing things about foreign leaders in public, he tells those leaders in private how he expects them to deliver. But with Putin, Bush seemed to be playing Ned Flanders to the Russian's Tony Soprano.
John McCain's assessment stands up much better: He said that, looking at Putin, he "saw three letters: a K, a G and a B."
Putin's neo-Soviet state has launched a nakedly illegal invasion of neighboring Georgia. The Russian press is pumping out absurd lies about Georgian acts of genocide, even as the Russian military indiscriminately bombs and shells Georgian cities.
The Bush administration made twin mistakes with Russia. It overpersonalized relations, with Bush hoping to coax out Putin's better side, and tiptoed around Moscow in the hopes that gentle treatment would encourage it to act responsibly. The irony is that Barack Obama - with his commitment to personal diplomacy and a gentler US footprint around the world - wants to make those two tendencies centerpieces of his foreign policy.

Awesome...Lets see how he feels about it a few days from now... COUGH (FLIP FLOP) COUGH

I don't think being around when Moses parted the red sea counts as experience.

Look into his eyes ....... this is one scary old man, hellbent on getting us involved in yet another war before we extricate ourselves from the two already in progress. He might know foreign relations but he doesn't seem to know shit about troop levels and military readiness.

Rich Lowry piece - really good

take a read - im sure u will love it as much as i do

Get back to me Chance when Rich Lowry puts his own ass on the line by joining the military ...... fucking neocon armchair generals!

Gramps needs to just stay in his Barc-a-lounger.

War:

Oil:

Gay rights:

You know, I keep looking and looking, and I just can't find anything upon which Gramps & I agree. Why do you think I should vote for him, Chance? Huh? Because he SEEMS to have guessed right on something? Battleship diplomacy isn't my idea of good foreign relations.

Chance, this thread is amusing, but it also show how dilusional you really are.... I also love your obvious hate of Obama as you hate a lot of other things... Go HOME McOldassmofo '08!

P.S. and his wife, Botox Barbie too! ;)

You know, it is well known that there were Jews serving in the Nazi goverment as well, to me, homosexuals voting for and supporting such a candidate like McCain is equivalent to that.

Chance, McCain has some backbone.
Unfortunately, the vertebrae are cold-war vertebrae and just not young and healthy enough for the present decade.
We need a leader that stands up to Russia without antagonizing Russia.

Russians admire principled dick!!
But they get bored with one-trick ponies as well.
Why not we act in ways that will lead them to admire us; instead of trundling out the same old bag of campaign manure?
[Well, one reason is that millions of Americans will fall for it.]

But of course, you're too smart to fall for it, Chance; you just want McCain to win.

i was accused of not being "substantive" by a rabbit puppet with a cig butt in his mouth

me thinks smelter is poster boy for "unsubstantive" with this wild eyed lame of a post

come on smelt

ur made of better stuff

Hmm, Mccain excited about a war? This feels like deja vu. Mccain is interested in 2 things as far as the Russia/Georgia situation is concerned; war, and oil. Both make him orgasm all over his Depends.

he's not excited

he's concerned

and he knows the good guys from the bad guys

unlike BO

who doesn't know

which is scary shit

BO will get walked over - just like Bush is now

JMac won't be walked over

and in the end, strength and principal matter

not politicking and on the job training

we cannot afford a newbie here

clearer and clearer every day

Hate is wishing someone ill will - loathing them

i think BO is a really good .................. junior senator

who has a fine future in politics and great potential

not what we need NOW

that is hardly hate

but u can't see honest concern/debate about him as anything but hate

many can't

Let me just say that if McCain starts another Cold War, I can guarantee there will be more then a few North Americans who will be looking to remove the pain in the ass that's fucking the world up worse then it is, like we should have done with Bush.

And Chance, who are the badguys? The Russians, who were responding to a Georgian attack on South Otassia, or the Georgians, with an unfortunatly excessive counter-attack, or the Georgians, who attacked a(I believe) ex-portion of their country, possibly to pressure them to rejoin the country. Don't pull this Bushite bullshit with us. It insults our intelligence and yours. There ARE no good guys or bad guys with this, just a bunch of power hungry politicians who can't dig their heads far enough outside of the collective asshole to realize what the fuck they're doing will probably fuck things up for everyone, not just them.

chance being a successful president means having priorities and making tough choices. The russians have called our hand here demanding we choose between our support for georgia or our desire for russian help with sanctions against Iran.

If you're really concerned about Iran then it appears you'll need the bad guys help or the military option will will be the only choice left to you.

Fine JMac won't be walked over and the price of that strength may be a nuclear Iran.

That sound like a good deal to you?

Its a complicated question....think you can answer it?

I notice lowry doesn't even mention Iran in his piece. Life is so simple in his narrow world.

Kurn - ur killing me

and i love it ;)

im laughing out loud :D

finally someone is killing me with humor rather than bile

in biz (im in it) and in politics, knowing people, knowing how they really r versus what they say, is critical - knowing their weaknesses, what their tendencies r, etc. - is critical

jmac is an adult - who understands that - he wants exactly what BO wants - what any pres would want - to protect america's interests - to keep the region stabile - to help georgia and other smaller ex ussr dominated areas - to stay democratic

it's a question of how to accomplish that

i think mccain clearly would have bigger balls - but i don't think he would misuse them - rather use them smartly

to ur first point about russians admiring the big dick ;)

love ya kurn

r u kidding me?

using iran as a bargaining chip for attacking georgia?

that is no deal

that's the deal u make with the devil

NFW

no way u make that deal

u make that deal and u have nothing - and u r proven to have no principles

u have to think long term

We should trust our foreign policy to a man who wanted to invade Iraq unprovoked, and then wanted to "fix" the resulting disaster by sending in yet more troops?.

We should trust our foreign policy to a man simply because he realized (unlike the idiot-in-chief) that a former KGB man could not be trusted by the appearance of his eyes?

We should trust our foreign policy to a man who insults our greatest friends and allies?

We should trust our foreign policy to a man who believes NATO would be a good "neutral" force to send into Georgia to enforce a ceasefire?

The more I see of McCain's foreign policiy, the less I like of it. He's a bumbling idiot, marginally better than the last president the Republicans gave us. I do not understand how that party continues to function. It has done more to destroy the American democracy than any force in history. And yet it continues to do well by promoting hatred and bigotry, and by attacking the rights and freedom of men.

the bad guys r the russians

period

u can make the argument that the georgian govt did not handle this smartly

but there is no denying who the real aggressor was - who WANTED this to happen - who MANIPULATED the situation - and why

real simple shit

i think some things r black and white

and this is one of them

how we handle it is NOT black and white

but knowing who's who and what they do and r capable of - is critical

which is why experience matters

Chance, I'm gonna have to lay a bullshit card on the table. Mccain knows his foreign relations? He thinks Iraq borders Pakistan!!

Foreign relations? How would his 100-year war influence foreign relations?

Here he is talking about the "common knowledge" about al Qaeda, except he's confusing them with the Shiites.

Yup, this man really knows his stuff!!

have heard it/seen it

he misspoke

doesn't bother me

u have a mic in front of ur face 24/7

unlike actors - there's no "cut - retake"

and i do think its prob true that he's forgotten more than BO knows

LOL
