LOL, just lol.

That fucking hand of his... it probably went numb just like his brain went numb trying to figure out how to answer such an easy question without looking like he's going against Fiorino.

Wow he's going to suck at the debates he can't think on his feet at all. The proper response was to ask if the companies were forced to cover viagra or whether it was a choice and if it was A say that they should be force to cover it and if the answer was B say he would neither support making companies cover either birht control or viagra.... I mean really that was such an easy question to field and he fumbled it big time.

If I was McCain I would have acted like I was choking on my own spit. I wouldn't just sit there like a dunce.

And HE wanted Obama in one on one debates?

Get the eff outta here...

You know, legislation on something as particular as mandating birth control coverage often comes in great big packages with a bunch of other things. I would probably want to avoid possibly opening myself up for a "gotcha."

Still, he was really sweating that answer! He could have easily said something like, "I'm generally against mandates on insurance plans. I'd have to have a really good reason to support any of them. This is something that the market should be able to negotiate without government intervention."

Perhaps, "It would depend on how the matter came up in the legislature. I'd need to see the whole bill to tell whether I would support it."

There are some pretty standard ways of avoiding answering an unexpected question without rubbing your face and grimacing.

^clearly a bad moment - that 1 minute seemed like an hour

surprised he wasn't familiar with viagra

Watch the video guys, the question was pertaining to BIRTH CONTROL being covered as well as Viagra. So it's an issue of whether birth control for women should be covered by insurance, not "a question about Viagra".

Much bigger issue than just "question about Viagra"

Perhaps the Hero needs the advise and counsel of one Bob Dole on this issue;)

That was pretty bad. He seems concerned about checking his voting history before he makes an opinion. He's running for president, not Senate, so his voting history doesn't matter. I think he knows that his answer will hurt him, no matter how he answered it, because straight talk doesn't mean shit if it's misleading ramble.

Well he's not as conservative naturally as his base wants him to be so...

he was thinking about the fairness to women and then thought of the church going bigots.

He was torn! And couldn't make a choice in fear of alienating a group.

Grandpops, the questions only get tougher.

Taboo subject Republicans do not like to talk about sex they just do it.

It's scary to think about all the other bills he voted on about things he doesn't "know enough about." And using the excuse that he's voted on 1000's of bills and he can't remember; he should still at least be expected to remember his stand on issues.

The viagra thing is much funnier though ;)

It would have been funny if he just gave the reporter his Name, Rank and Serial number! ;)
