Grease II -WAY Better then Grease 1

Am I the only person who finds the sequel to Grease better then the original? I own the original soundtrack on Vinyl AND cd.. and the movie on DVD. I find it a true American classic and find the music from the movie much better then the music from Grease 1. I really feel Charades, Cool Rider, Love Will Turn Back The Hands of Time, Girl For All Seaons, and We'll Be Together should've all been singles and possibly Reproduction because everyone Who watches it with me knows the words and mouths the lyrics because its such a good song.

The main guy in 2 is MUCH hotter then John Travolta. Maxwell Caufield is SOO hot plus I like this plot and story much better then 1. Grease 1 Is a classic and I love it too.. but its not as good as its sequel. I can't find Grease 2 dolls or merchandise ANYWHERE! Is there anyone else who feels the same way I do?

What the hell ever happened to Maxwell Caufield, anyway ?

Download it on a torrent its so good... I jerked off to Maxwell when i was a kid. Just so you all know this is Michelle Pfeiffer's FIRST movie. And its her best! So the acting is somewhat cheesy.. alot of movies have cheesy acting but they make it big! Look at high school musical i wonder HOW in gods name that every got put into people's heads to go and buy THAT soundtrack or see the actual thing. I saw the first one and im like someone turn this off.

Grease is one of my favorite movies. Therefore, I as excited when Grease 2 was to come out...until I saw it. It is so horrible that it should not even have sequel status.

Yeah but... Michelle Pfiffer could sing "The Hokey Pokey" and it'd be a winner in my book. (and getting to hear Lorna Luft growl out a few notes, however insipid, wasn't bad either):cool:

I too liked Grease 2 better than the original but I liked them BOTH. From a musical standpoint and star power, Grease is definitely better. The songs and dance numbers are spectacular.

I just enjoyed the story in Grease 2 a bit more. It is more intimate and feels like MY movie (maybe because so other few people liked it). The romantic conflict is more pronounced. In Grease, Kenicke makes a comment about Sandy being hot so I am not sure why there is such a problem with Danny being with Sandy. Stephanie is clearly torn between what she thinks she wants and the clean cut "boy next door" that she's attracted to. I just feel more for the characters in Grease 2. You really get a sense that Johnny cannot get over Stephanie. In Grease, the past relationship between Danny and Rizzo is not given enough attention.

Grease 2 is not nearly as bad as people think but it probably should not be compared to the original. I like them both for exactly what they are.

Okay, that song is cute and catchy, but the rest of them are, IMO, a bit naff.

(and I knew I should'nt'a watched that... now I'm gonna be walking around a construction site all damn day singing "make my stamen go berserk" :( -- cheers, thanks a lot)
