Ezekiel bread, it's organic and sprouted, with organic butter. I'm over sweet things like jam and jelly. I'd shake if I touched white sliced bread.

White burnt toast, just when it starts smoking in the toaster, slathered in butter, or peanut butter. ..|

I like to make sugar toast once in awhile. I use wheat bread and toast two slices in the toaster.

When the toast pops up, I spread butter on each slice and then sprinkle sugar on both slices. Then I toast them in the toaster oven for a few minutes until both slices are bubbly and browned. After they've cooled awhile, I have crunchy sugar toast. Toasting the bread beforehand ensures that both sides of the bread are crisp.

Sometimes instead of sugar, I'll sprinkle cinnamon sugar on the slices instead.

Cold, burnt toast served British style in a little rack. Then spread with butter and marmalade

YOU TOO??????????????????????????

I thought I was the only person in the world who likes his toast about the same color as dirt!

BUT: I prefer that it be rye bread, or one of those multi-grain breads.

And most definitely NOT "slathered" in butter...only the most minimal amount of butter. (One pat of butter should be enough for 2 or 3 slices.) Or sometimes "dry."

In restaurants I'll ALWAYS order my toast "dry" because, otherwise, it's almost always incredibly over-buttered...

Yeah, me too - I do that sometimes as well. In that case, some butter is essential, and it keeps the suygar and cinnamon from falling off, LOL.
