  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

greeks want their money & gold back from germany (nazis)

You know, the Third Reich has become like the American Civil War for Europe. Anytime someone is broke or needs something for free, they just go to Germany, play the Nazi card, and demand reparations.

What a scam. Shame on Greece. Its not Germany's fault they are broke. It's their own mismanagement of the financial sectors. ](*,)

No such thing has been done. Life is never that simplistic.

The Greek prime minister raised the matter of Greek indebtedness back in October, 2009. It is only now that as a result of heavy leaning on Germany by other EU states that the EU has agreed to provide loans to assist Greece repay the German, French and other banks as per schedule. The immediate beneficiaries of this EU loan will be German banks, amongst other banks from other countries.

An off the cuff remark by the Greek deputy prime minister was not official Greek government policy. The Greek prime minister is a very mellow man who conducts his negotiations in a business like manner. But of course Greece is a free country where its citizens may speak their mind. Even when doing so they put their foot in their mouth.

I'm not leveling charges at their personalities. Nor is such occurrences simply relegated to economic troubles. Its just a way countries in Europe and Israel conduct business. A good example would the Israeli Navy. Half their submarines are being paid for by Germany because of WWII. And the talks go like this:

Germany: " Vell, Herr Netanyahu, zee Submarines vill cost $100 billion dollars."

Israel: "Oiiiiieeee, you threw my grandparents in the ovens! oie!"

Germany :"Oookay :(" -hangs head- "We'll pay for it all."

It's basically extortion predicated upon a very dark chapter in world history. And thats repulsive.
