Green Fingers.

I have another problem— well I'm not sure if it's a problem.

I'm growing a hedge with these—

Some of the them are growing brilliantly but they're not all growing at the same speed. I suppose I have to clip the tall ones till the smaller catch up

Can't offer any advice there other than a possible feed to spur the slow growers on a bit? If that doesn't help patience and your method of clipping seem the only solution.

I'm not very good with shrubs or veg growing. I am really into flowers.

My pride and joy this week:

orange oriental poppies 01.jpg

I've been waiting a few days now for these poppies to open up a bit more.

Those poppies are spectacular!

The flowers here in my country are tiny. I'm obliged to choose plants for their foliage— like that interesting shrub to the left of Quasar's bench seat

Nice  also brings back a memory
When I was a kid we had some of those same orange poppies growing in the backyard garden space
Always wanted to grow them again but never see them...

^tsk, tsk Monica....:p

Prefer to call it backyard farming. Since I'm a freak about salsa and guacamole, I typically grow different varieties of tomatoes, chilies and corn. Never been able to get an avocado tree to sprout from a seed. (tried many times)

thread makes think of this...

I had an avocado plant growing from a seed once in my bedroom...lived for a few years & got to around 4-feet tall...but then it died
