I had the most amazing green tea when i was in the spa at the ritz carlton in orlando. I made a point to right down the brand. However I've lost it. This is such a long shot. Oh i guess i could call them, but that would be strange, like could you imagine getting that phone call?

So does anyone happen to know the brand they serve in the spa?

it's not strange at all... give the Ritz a call.

Not a strange call at all. I'm sure they are used to it.

Call them. Hotels love it. They often have marketing agreements with their suppliers to help promote the products.

In fact, many hotels have started offering featured brands in their gift shop or on their websites.

I know green tea is supposed to be good for you but every cup of green tea I've had tastes like it was from barnyard hay. Nasty.

I live on Lipton Green tea with Citrus sold in the juice isle. Its best served cold. I swear, I can drink this stuff for days.

I'm sick, and
i've drank about a gallon of green tea in the last 2 days...

sooo good

Are you making the tea with boiled water? When making green tea, NEVER let the water boil, it will make the tea taste bitter.

a cup of green when I get home from work helps me unwind

That must be it then. Thanks for the tip.

Oh yeah - don't use boiling water. Pour it on the tea or tea bag just as the water starts to "bubble." And don't brew it for more than 1 1/2-2 minutes.

Numi Gunpowder Green Tea is my favorite, but quite expensive. I drink 4 to 6 cups a day. If you live near a Whole Foods, they have a "house label" green tea that is good and inexpensive. I buy it for everyday.

This thread has made me crave some green (and by extension, black and white) tea, so I just put in an order. I decided to give green tea a second chance! Loose leaf all the way, baby!

Now, all I need to do is get a thermometer that has the appropriate temps on it. Maybe a meat thermometer will do.
