Grey's Anatomy

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I can't believe I'm reading this, Grey's Anatomy is still great after all these years. I'll admit for awhile there it did get kinda slow but I think its back on track. I was pissed after watching last weeks episode where they killed off Henry, who by the way I was really starting to like, But I think that's what makes the show so great is the way it evokes so much emotion out of its viewers Besides even though they decided to kill of Henry I can still get to watch him on True Blood next season, which is another favorite of mine, that one was lost for awhile too.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

Yes i got to be the same way after the first few episodes of the third season of True Blood, if they're not gonna try then neither am i.

And I feel the same way about 90210 & Gossip Girl!

Anyway for some reason I have the 1st season of Greys on DVD (think my sis left it here), and I do enjoy it - but its the only season I've ever seen.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I LOVE Grey's now. I stopped watching around the time that Izzie started dating her dead boyfriend. I just started watching again near the end of last season. It is awesome again! Great storylines. Though I am tired of the title character, Meredith. She could leave the show, and I would still watch. :)

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I thought Grey's was done already. Hmmm.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

As with many shows..there comes a point where it runs it course. It has done so here.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

Grey's Anatomy used to be my fav show. It inspires me to pursue medical career field. I am getting tired of the show. It doesn't excite me anymore.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

Don't worry, the show will pick up full force again. Plus, Im sure Shonda has more great storylines up here sleeves. Besides Grey's is already renewed for another season! :)

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I feel the same way about Desperate Housewives. The stories were just getting unreal and dumb. I stopped watching after last season.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

GA would be good if they had shot Meredith and Derek through the head and killed them off when the gunman entered the Hospital and let Sloane and Lexi be the main couple of the show. Each season both Meredith and Derek grate on me more and more, they just bring everything down.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I havent watched for 2 years

I think GA is one of the best series I ve ever watched I don t always have the luxury of having cable tv so thank God for Dvd s you can borrow from the local library but I have nt seen the show for quite some time now I think the writing is excellent and I guess every show falls victim to loss of interest House is another show I think is well-written and acted Sometimes it s good to take a breather from television period I get more out of movies anyway

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I am sticking it out till the end. I feel like Omallys mom. Its so interesting watching these characters grow.

Shondra must have scripted Averys huge dick print in "Heart in a box". I had to keep replaying until i nutted.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

So......IS anyone still watching Grey's? I am glad that I gave it another try, because this season has been GREAT! Adele's alzheimers, Cristina's marriage problems, ....... if the main characters of the show Meredith and Derek left, I would still watch the show. Ironically, they are the weakest characters.....

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I still watch Grey's and I don't think it's that bad. Desperate Housewives has gotten so much better in it's last season. It's funny and interesting to watch again.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

Grey's anatomy started dying slowly after season 5. Izzie and George's departures were just major drastic changes to the show. The new characters were interesting at first, Kepner especially, but season 7's storylines has sucked the life out of them which is what season 8 continues to do shamelessley.

Yes, Grey's Anatomy isn't the glorious show it was in it's first 3 seasons or the moderately entertaining one in season 5. Quite sad really.

I have to disagree about Desperate Housewives though. Season 8 is an incredible improvement from it's disastrous predecessor. It's funny and colorful and feels less low rent than season 7 did.

Seasons 5 and 6 are flawless to me, contrary to popular oponion. To me the cast, crew and writers have done a tremendous job keeping this show alive for all these years and it'll be sad to see it go.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

It's one of those shows that jumped the shark a long time ago. Happens to the best of them sooner or later.

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

After last seasons Desperate Housewives, I refused to even watch a single episode of this season. Though you who watch it seem to like it, I have heard from others that it really is bad, and should end as quickly as it could.

I got hooked on G.A. after hearing that they were doing a musical episode. I watched two episodes prior, in order to understand what was going on. LOVED the musical episode, and caught up on the last 5 or 6 before it. Have seen all episodes since then, and hope it lasts at least another season or two.....

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I swear to god, if they write in Owen actually cheating, I'm done. He's too great of a guy to cheat, and if the writers suddenly try to make him a bad guy, they are idiots.

Also: Does it annoy anyone else that the Title screen now fades into that ridiculous "Created by Shonda Rhimes" thing? Like we didn't already know that?

Re: I'm giving up on Grey's Anatomy

I just watched this weeks episode, on HULU. Sorry to say, it's getting predictable again. Characters are acting against character, just for storyline purposes.........
