But I know when I'm grieving, I look like a mess with stuff hanging down from my nose and my eyes all red shot. Everyone up there looks all composed and just angry at traffic or something.

I agree. As others have observed, they look more like they are screaming. At the very most, they look frustrated, but definitely not grieving.
