Grindr gay hookup app for iPhone

Guys ... is anybody using the Grindr app for the iPhone?

It's a gay hook-up app that uses GPS to find the gay / bi guys near you ... see this for more info.

Have any of you had any good experiences using it? Slick interface ...

I've been playin' with Grindr this past week - it's fun! And scary! I was in my local pub earlier this week (not a specifically gay bar) and found someone else in the same pub!!

i've never heard of it. i'm going to have to look now. but i don't have an iphone anyway. lol i'm not sure i like the idea of it GPSing me to a bunch of people i don't know...but i assume you can turn that off.

Yes, you can hide your own location if you choose - but then I doubt you'd get any messages!

Downloaded it last week just for fun. Down in Cornwall nearest results are 10 miles. Went to London this last weekend and I was getting people 1000 feet away. Interesting but really not my thing.

Just downloaded it and checked it out. Very interesting, I anticipated having a few people pop up but had no clue there were that many hot guys around me with iPhones... lol.

Now I just gotta find a semi-flattering pic to post of myself. Bleh.

Tried it, but I live out in the middle of fuck ass nowhere so there's no one hot on it near me. On Grindr, let's be clear, I am surrounded by horny marines so I'm already pretty much set

That's why it's called Grindr!

GPS proximity detection is probably not a good basis for a meaningful relationship. But quite handy when you want something a little less meaningful...
